Private Schools

Our journey with Page Private School started in 2011 my princess started with ms Madeline's creepy crawlers and Kenneth with ms Eva and ms Brenda preschool. Everybody treated us like family. Everybody from the teachers up to Nancy in environmental services are wonderful people. They are always happy and greet us with a smile. But, the most important thing to me is the education. Ms West and Ms Breslow and many teachers have done an outstanding job in teaching our babies and keeping them caught up in their curriculum. It's not easy nowadays for full time parents juggling work and other responsibilities to keep up with educating their kids. It's a tremendous feeling knowing they're in good hands. A very special thanks to Mr shafer and Ms Kelly for supporting and being there with us every step of our journey.

My eldest son had a very difficult time succeeding at the local High School. His ADHD made tracking and turning in homework almost impossible. Although he received an aide, and had sympathetic teachers, there was just no way for the public school system to deal with kids who had severe organizational issues. This resulted in years of fighting, pleading and begging my eldest son to keep up with the blizzard of work he was receiving and not able to organize and complete. He would receive an A or B on all of his tests, but then got a C, D or F for not turning in his homework on time. In many cases the work was completed but not taken out of his backpack. No amount of school visits or district help was able to fix this. Great intentions but no ability to execute a meaningful IEP. At Halstrom this issue has been mostly resolved. My son is able to advance quickly in math and science by demonstrating mastery, and the school works with us on completing and turning in homework. The one on one format is the key; F's in math disappeared and are now A's in pre calc. This week he scored the highest marks in the school on French. I would have sworn there was no way he would finish high school, but now he is thriving. There are still problems understanding how to complete assignments and track over due work, but the smaller setting, and the willingness of the staff to work with us is making the difference. Of course this all comes at a cost, but from my point of view I'd prefer to invest my sons college money now than watch helplessly as he struggled to get through High School. Definitely not for everyone, but for a kid that can't get the necessary attention required to succeed in the public system, I think this is a great solution. My youngest son is doing well in public school so I have no intentions of putting him in Halstrom. I look at Halstrom as the right solution for those that have tried every option in the public system but still can't get the help they need.

My son has been excelling in advanced math since stating at Halstrom Carlsbad. We couldn't more pleased with his progress. The teachers and entire staff are extremely helpful and we feel valued which makes the experience even better.

I just love this school! Everyone is friendly and the students are outstanding little citizens!

Two of our sons graduated from the Village School in the last 15 years and our daughter currently attends the school. Both of our sons went to Ivey -League colleges after attending high school locally since the Village did not had HS at that time. Our daughter is entering The high school after attending the Village for 10 years. The school is not cheap or easy but it is worth it. The academic standards are consistently high and the music department is exceptional. We have seen the school growth and change hands through the years without loosing its spirit. This school is diverse and promotes cross-cultural respect and religious tolerance which is very important to us.

Duclos School is a fantastic elementary school in the community of Bonnyville, Alberta. Duclos School is a proud part of Northern Lights Public Schools. I highly recommend enrolling your child in this wonderful school!

Don't let the location fool you. This school: 1) produces the highest test scores in California year after year 2) teaches kids logic and how to think (know what they believe, know what other people believe, know how to form a logical argument to share what they believe)

They equally applied their non-denominational nature and are now being slandered as racists by a bunch of SJWs, but the school's results speak for themselves. If religion is more important to you than success, send your kid to a public school.

Mima is more than a wonderful teacher. She not only teaches cello, she shares her passion of music with her students. Her energy is consistently positive and encouraging. Moreover, I very much appreciate that I don't get in trouble if I haven't practiced between lessons as much as I should have had. She is definitely a priceless teacher!

This school is very well orginized.

I absolutely adore University School. I do not even know where to begin in reviewing such an amazing place. From the minute I took a tour, I knew this is exactly where my son/family belongs. I noticed five year olds writing five-page stories, and 8th graders making inventions by using solar power to charge cell phones! This school has not only kept my child on his toes the entire time, but has somehow managed to teach him personal responsibility. The teachers, the administrative staff, the front desk, the parents all make this place feel like home for my children, and my entire family. THANK YOU USCHOOL!
