I was heading to Lane 7, the little diner from my younger years. In its place I found NMS. Brightly colored, it seemed like a good place to try. I ordered #5 (pansit and lumpias). At first I was thinking, another overpriced Sitka diner.... when my food came, I knew I would be bringing leftovers....
Portions are huge and worth the cost (most meals 10-15$). Staff was friendly, if a little timid. Giving 4 stars as fries should never cost 5$. I will probably be eating there again during my stay.

Had one of the best meals and times last night. The restaurant has a wonderful vibe. The food was excellent, but what really made it perfect were the wait staff. The two ladies who served the four of us were funny and had a great rapoure. Even though we probably were a bit roudy.

Stopped in on the way back to our boat for a beer, fish and crab. It's a simple place, but the food is solid when we were there and had a selection of good beer on tap, (even a Denali, rare in this Alaska Brewing dominated area.) Absolutely worth popping in for a beer, a snack and a last minute tourist gift item.
