I switched over to Beaver Meadow a few years ago when I left another Valley Veterinary establishment after having a bad experience during an appointment with my dog that had cancer. I've seen all four of the vets and they're also very caring wonderful people that you can tell truly have your pets best interest at heart. I have never once felt rushed out of a room and the vet will sit and answer all of your questions and concerns and even make their own suggestions for a course of action. All of the text and front-office staff are wonderful as well. They even help me get my dog in and out of the vehicle because she has some arthritis problems now that she's older. Another great factor is that they're open 24 hours for emergency care. The last vet's office that I was with I had to drive all the way to Syracuse for an emergency appointment. The moment you call Beaver Meadow for an emergency a vet called you right back and we'll meet you at the office as soon as possible. Thank you so much for caring and making any Veterinary experience a more bearable one!

They've saved my dogs life on more than one occasion (antifreeze poisoning and pancreatitis). They are always compassionate, patient, and informative for any issue, big or small. Wouldn't take our crazy husky anywhere else.

Over the past 2 years I have had an excellent experience with this vet clinic. My aging Pekingese dog was very stressed from a move across the country and Dr. Sarah Lentini and the entire clinic staff (office staff and vet techs) did a FANTASTIC job of handling and assessing my dog's current state of health as well as providing encouragement and guidance for me in dealing with how to get him more stabilized in a new environment. He is at least 15 years old now, maybe 16, and he has several health issues (he was a rescue so we're not sure of the age). Their hours are well extended for all sorts of work schedules. When tests have been done, I always receive informative and helpful followup calls. They provide access to an online pharmacy which is very helpful since this both reduces costs of medication as well as provides convenience since I'm a fulltime Grandma and can't do lots of errands with a 2 year old child. I think the prices at this clinic are VERY reasonable based on my experience with several other pets that I have treated over several years for all sorts of issues in other places I've lived. I especially appreciate how the Willard Vet doctors interpret the clinical importance of treatment/non-treatment outcomes for me as a layman. It's worth it to me to have the assurance that I'm helping my faithful companion to get the best medical care available.

I appreciate how attentive the vet is with our family dog. I am the type of person who asks a lot of questions--and they never make me feel like my questions are silly or rush me along. They are so loving to the animals and I really appreciate that. Despite that they are a little pricey (just compared to other places that I have also been to)--it is worth it because of how they treat you as a pet owner and most importantly how they treat your pet. I took one of my dogs somewhere else and had an unpleasant experience and just went right back to Veterinary Care of Ithaca. It was worth the drive to get there, too. They are very accommodating if you have multiple pets, as well. I was in and out with two dogs within the hour (full physical, shots, and paperwork for each). I always feel like they are willing to help me and ask how I am doing with my dogs--offering suggestions to me and my family on top of taking care of our furbabies.

We've received outstanding, compassionate care and attention from all of the staff during our recent loss of *both* our beloved old dogs - within 6 months of each other - especially so from our vet Dr. Ashley. I can't say enough about the professionalism and services provided at Capeway; the waiting area is clean, spacious and well lit, separating dogs (to the right) and cats (to the left, with towels sprayed with a pheromone to calm them), and we have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for our appointment. Quality care for the life of your pet definitely awaits you here.

ANY CONCERNS I HAVE HAD I DIDN'T HESITATE TO CALL GOTHAM AND THE STAFF WOULD GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO EXPLAIN AND REASSURE ME ON ANY DECISIONS I HAD TO MAKE ABOUT MY PET DOG. WE'VE GONE THROUGH MANY HEALTH SCARES TOGETHER AND THEY WERE LIKE MY EXTENDED FAMILY, GOING THROUGH IT WITH ME AS WE GOT MY DOG THROUGH IT ALL. WE'VE HAD MANY YEARS WITH GOTHAM AND WE ARE STILL GOING STRONG.

Great staff. They are knowledge and caring of our four legged family members. For example, I had to put down a family cat due to old age, over 20 years!, and they were extremely professional and courteous during the whole experience. They understand that they are treating our family, our babies. That's the most important.

Very nice place, HUGE selection of ice cream! They serve a variety of frozen treats and everything looks good. They have a BYOB deal (bring your own banana) that you can add to smoothies and banana splits. They also rent movies and sell paint. A nice place to stop by in Shawville!
