DR. Hillegas is one of the best,caring,kind,knowledgable vet I have know in my 50 and more years of having dogs from Great Dane to Cocker Spaniel. My best friend Heidi a beautiful registered Doberman was a patient from 6 weeks till the rainbow and all persons involved at the Blue Cross Animal Hospital made me feel like I could go on. Bless all from secretaries up to the top. Dr. Hillegas even came to my home when Heidi needed her and I was housebound. Ps. Drs. ALL of them are great!🐾🐾

We took our dog in on a Tuesday morning around 8:30am because she had difficulty breathing. After being admitted and checked, the vet told us that she had heart issues, potentially due to plaque build up on her teeth. They then put her on oxygen and sent us home to wait as they ran their tests. Around 1-2 hours later, the vet called and told us that she had an enlarged heart. However, the vet also said that her vitals were stable and that her blood cell count and kidneys were great. We were then told that she will be kept on oxygen until she stabilizes and then they will try to administer a specific heart medication. We were told that she would be kept on oxygen until the clinic’s closing time and if she hasn’t stabilized by then, she would be transported to the animal hospital. Around 11am, we got another call letting us know that she started bleeding from her nose and lungs because of the medication and that there was nothing else they can do and that we have to put her down. Great place to bring your pet! Everyone you interact with has a caring and personal attitude. Prices are great, sometimes waits are long but its worth it. Would recommend to anyone.

Open 24 hours 7 days a week so they can work with any schedule. They are very fairly priced and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.

We received treatment from Beattie approximately 5 yrs ago and after a number of visits we changed vets due to poor interaction and communication from the vet. Now over five years later we had an emergency situation and Beattie was the closest Vet. We didn’t have any other option as it was an emergency. Thankfully the vet & team that took control of our dog did an incredible job. They were very knowledgeable and professional with us and our dog. The service they provided saved our dogs life. Dr.Featherstone was great and the Tech named Brad was also fantastic. They reacted fast and were able to save our dogs life. I’m not surè if there had been an ownership change or if better vets and techs are now on staff but I can say that we were very impressed with Beattie over the last year since returning. I would recommend this vet now and disregard all of the old bad reviews because Beattie seems to have successfully made the required changes to achieve a top notch level of professionalism and Vet services.

Very friendly and helpful Vet. Spent a lot of time getting to know us and our cat. Came up with an action plan to resolve some behavioural issues and provided products that helped.
