I LOVE this salon. I am so picky about who touches my hair. I moved to the area and was looking for a salon and was referred here by someone else. I am so happy I listened. Rose is the BEST. She is so knowledgeable, up on the latest styles and gives a great cut. I won’t go anywhere else.

Very unprofessional and terrible service. I made an appt a over a week in advance, yet waited in the rain for over an hour and Paula never showed up or called me to cancel and no one answered the salon phone. Two hours later I got a call from the salon telling me they apologize they opened late and will see me right away. When I got there Paula wasn't even there. It was a bait and switch with a rookie stylist named Unique who did a terrible job on my hair leaving it burnt and greasy. Biggest waste of money I ever spent. I called again at a later date to make an appt with Paula so she could redeem herself. Instead I got someone rude on the phone saying Paula wouldn't be available due to a birthday party. I will never waste my time on these people again. Their website has a lot false advertising about good customer service. Also, the salon permanently smells of weed. It's small and stuffy and I can't believe they're still even in business.

Professional, friendly and very flexible with appointments. I drive down from Woodstock upstate and they always coordinate my color and cut along with my wife’s, at convenient times. Been going since they opened!

Saw Manal about a week ago. Greatest experience in a NYC hair salon ever! So professional and nice - she really took the time to explain what would look best on me, which is something I really appreciate. Thank you so so much - will definitely be back.

I will say that even when I've not been able to get my hair done for a couple years due to family members illness, as soon as I entered Matthew's Salon, I was greeted again with love and kindness.. I feel so grateful and blessed that I know Svetlana, Matthew and Christina! Not only are so Talented, they are now an extension of my Family. I love you All. I have followed Jun from two other places and will continue to go to J&E. They are wonderful talents and even better people!

I asked Alex for a trim and next thing I see is 2 inches of hair being cut off. He blow dries my hair into an uneven mess. I went home and had to redo it - though it is so short now, I am struggling to make it look decent. The only reason I gave one star is because the woman who shampooed person was very good.
