Love the decor and bookcases around the tables. Service was a little slow, though, and dishes a bit overpriced for what they were. However, prosciutto and biscuits starter was delicious... fried chicken was solid but could use something more unique! Felt like the dish wasn’t given enough attention. Like much more pepper in the breading to make it top notch or more unique mashed potatoes like red-skin buttermilk ones.

Great meal. Walk by often but finally went for Portland dining month and it was one of the top three that I was able to get to. Expansive drink selection and solid food offerings. Went for the trout, which was cooked perfectly without a bone in sight. Dessert left me scraping at the bowl. It would be a great place to go as the weather improves, the patio looks fantastic.

We came here on our 10th dating anniversary for a lovely, quiet dinner after being HORRIBLY treated by a nearby restaurant earlier in the evening. That was supposed to be a late reservation, so we got to Irving even later, but they accommodated us without a res and we were given a great table and we proceeded to enjoy the experience and forget about the previous hour. Irving's service was attentive, the menu was thoughtful and we were happy with our choices- and the drinks. We liked the ambiance and will definitely return for another dinner soon.

Try the smoked trout entree - it is fabulous. Perfectly prepared the fish is moist and has a wonderful wood smoked flavor. Our service was excellent - attentive but not pushy. Dined here twice in a week and both experiences were excellent.

My waiter was so friendly. The place is sleek yet still has a comfortable home vibe. The menu is exquisite and fun! My friend and I had a great evening!
