Three years ago I ended a relationship with my fist love. It was so hard to get over him. I never realized you can grieve a relationship but you really can, all the good times, the change in your life feels like something or someone was missing. I thought that day by day it would go away but I let it slide for nearly 3 years and I wasn't feeling any better. It's so beautiful to realize all the money I invested into grief counselling really helped me grow into the woman I am today.
I was on medication for 4 years to help me feel "not sad or anxious".
I can truly say this 8 week program has worked better than 4 years of me being on medication.
If you, or someone you know is grieving I highly recommend reading "the grief recovery method". It has helped me take the right step in the direction I have always wanted to be in. The future I have always wanted has finally became a reality. Not only with the man of my dreams but with who I am as a person. I can say I truly love who I am.
November 2016 will be 1 year since I last took the medication and I have not been as happy as I am today.
Thank you to Ashley for her amazing support throughout this program. It's nice to know that there is something out there that can naturally help us oppose to medication.

I moved to Vancouver for school a few months ago, its been hard making good connections in this city and being an introvert really didn’t help at all. I was struggling to stay positive and optimistic and have a life along with school, the city felt cold and I really missed home.
I was recommended to visit Jericho Counselling by a professor of mine; she stressed the importance of mental health and I hadn’t realized that I needed that help. Jericho Counselling has been helpful since the first time I emailed them, they have a great counselling program and sliding scale fees which really helps being away from home trying to make it in this city. I can email them any time and always get a fast response. If you need someone to talk to check them out!

Lee, has been my advocate and cheerleader for the past five years. Over the years we have worked hard together to make me the person I am today. I owe her a great deal of gratitude.
Thank you Lee, from the bottom of my heart.

Megan has been an unbelievable support to me for about a year now and I truly believe is responsible for helping me through the grief of my sister's death. When my sister was given a few short month to live after her cancer spread, I sought out anticipatory grief counseling and Willow Tree Counseling came up. I have been working with her for months and now that my sister is gone she is helping me work through the incredible grief I'm experiencing.
I wanted to post a review in contrast to the previous one because I really feel like out of a handful of counsellors that I've seen that's I've really felt the strongest connection and had the most help from Megan. She doesn't write notes while you are in session, but that has never been an issue for me. She has always remembered our previous sessions and I know she records notes of her sessions after the hour is over. She also provides a feedback form after every session that gives the client an opportunity to provide thoughts on various aspects of her counseling.
I feel badly for the other reviewer who had a poor experience but I wanted to come on here and provide a different perspective. Without Megan's guidance and support over the last year my grief journey would have been far harder and more detrimental to my well-being. I am beyond grateful to work with her on my problems. She is a gem.
