Dentists

They kept rescheduling or cancelling my appointments and were rude about it. The fillings were not smooth when I did manage to get in and will have to see a future dentist to fix them. Not here though...this is a joke.

I cannot speak for the entire practice but I do not recommend Dr. H.Kim. I have never wrote a negative review on a doctor but my tooth was destroyed and in the past 8 months I have spent thousands trying to save it. I went in for a simple filling as mine fell out, I was told by the doc it would take maybe 30-40mins. Fine. I was in the chair for 2 hours, majority of it drilling. He kept saying there is nothing on the xray and then looked at me and asked if I had a cavity??? The assistant couldn't find the proper tools to which he replied it's ok we will just crown it later? Fast forward I thought ok hes new whatever and I went to the office for a cleaning. He looked and said I needed a crown. My specialist told me I needed a root canal although Dr. Kim looked and said no (So they were just going to crown it without the root canal meaning my crown would be destroyed). I went to a different dentist who took one look at my tooth and said it needs a root canal, its infected. My opinion is the root canal was needed due to trauma but I can't say for sure. Got that done in Winnipeg and came back to Dauphin to put in a permanent filling which was needed after the root canal only to find out the original permanent filling Dr. Kim put in was all cracking so I had to pay even more money to fix that (This is within a year of having it done) If I didn't have two specialists and a dentist tell me my tooth was a mess and they don't understand why it was originally filled that way I wouldn't be writing this. Meanwhile I'm out roughly $2000 out of pocket (On top of my coverage). Some people may not be so lucky and would have lost their tooth due to not being able to afford fixing it. Speaking to other people in town all I have heard is 'He causes more damage then good'... So although I can't speak for the other doctors in this clinic, please be weary about this one.

Dr. Jesse Marques is excellent! He seems genuinely concerned about patient comfort, explains everything thoroughly, and the pride he takes in his work is evident. I highly recommend him!

I like their service

This place is really professional. I have been going for quite a few years, and have never had a bad experience. Front end staff are always cheerful and friendly, dentists take the time to understand what's actually going on in your mouth, and my mouth always feels clean after.

A fantastic crew, from receptionist to dental hygienist. Out of all the dentists in portage I would recommend this one several times over! Extremely kind (all of them) and you can tell they take pains to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Love these people! ~from one dentist fearing pansy to another

The staff were great.
