I neve write review but my experience was so horrible I have to share. Dentist reviewed my health history PRIOR to me coming in. After x-rays and getting me settled he stated he refused to do my dental work. He said numbing wouldn't work for me. I'm a nurse so I asked what type of sedation he used cause fentanyl/versed works great for me. He REFUSED to tell me, stated since he's not doing the extractions he did t have to tell me. The nurse whispered that was what he used (why wouldn't he just say that!!!!) and I said that I do very well with that he said. I'm just not doing it. I'll refer you to Oahu! What? I'm in Hilo and don't want to go to another island for dental work. It was absolute BS and I would never ever reccome do him to anyone! He was rude and unprofessional and made me start crying. What a jerk.

Dr. Chock and his staff were very professional and courteous. The whole experience was positive. The office was clean and organized very well. I feel extremely blessed to have found a great dentist on my first try after moving to Hawai‘i. He was thorough and professional. The view from the dental chair was soothing and beautiful. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

I am very unhappy with the service in his office... what should have taken maybe two days, over two weeks later I had too call for an appointment and still couldn't get one they didn't call my insurance I had to do the leg work for them and Dr. Atebara receptionist never called me to let me know what was going on my insurance stated they cover ...
So now my husband is upset and I am in pain

I scheduled a cleaning and a regular checkup. The care was great and everyone was extremely friendly. Dr. Yamashiro really knows his stuff and made me feel like family. They even open on Saturdays, which is very convenient! I would (and have) recommended him to everyone!

The office staff and nurses at this clinic are very professional and thoughtful, I give them 5 stars and my appriciation. The doctor I saw, Dr yang was very unprofessional and rude. She dismissed or made light of all my concerns.
