Hearing Aid

I was diagnosed with a significant hearing loss earlier this year by my ENT. Wanted 2nd opinion and saw ad for Westchester Audiology/ Anthony Macera and made an appointment. Was very pleased with his patience, explanation of my condition and subsequent explanation of the care and usage of my hearing aids. He has made himself available for any questions/ issues I’ve had with my “ears” and am very grateful to have him as my Audiologist.

It took me several years in order to get up enough courage to admit to myself that I was losing my hearing. I have always been a avid lover of music ... all types. I have also enjoyed the priviliage of running a school district for most of my career and communicating effectly with students, staff and parents was critically important to me. Hearing was a very important part of this communication. As I aged hearing all that was being said to me was beginning to diminish. Through the intelligent, sensitive and intuitive encouragement and support from Aviva I decided that addressing my hearing loss made sense for me. Working with Cindy, an experienced and knowledgeable audiologist I was tested for the specific hearing deficiencies. I was impressed with both the depth and breath of the examination. Once the test results were studied and analyzed I was introduced to my hearing supports .... I call them that because unlike the aids that my father and others had years ago, mine are practically invisible, highly intelligent and intuitive micro computers that work independent of each other in order to enhance my hearing ability! From the moment I put them in my ears they made a world of difference in my hearing. I am thrilled about having them and for having very competent caring and involved people like Aviva working to continue to teach me how these mini miracles can change my life from constantly asking people to repeat themselves to hearing like I did in my 20ies. No more having to feel embraced about not hearing what was being said to me the first time around and asking for it to be repeated. No more being embarrassed. I highly endorse my new hearing supports and the wonderful people behind them! They are making a big difference for me.... finally! Respectfully and thankfully , Peter Scordo

Dr, Freed and his staff are wonderful. I am grateful for his support, patience and knowledge. I recently purchased the Oticon hearing aids that Dr. Freed recommended. I must admit, I was on the fence about getting a new pair. I am so happy I did. This is only my second pair of hearings aids I have purchased. I liked my first pair ( Widex brand) but this new pair is life changing for me. The blue tooth capability is amazing . I no longer need to put my cell phone on speaker to hear a call since the voice goes directly into the aid. I also love listening to music this way. I am now able to hear the voice with ease on a land phone call at work. I work in a noisy environment. Dr. Freed worked with diligence to assure that I would be able to hear when receiving calls at work on the land phone. I was new to hearing aids when I bought my first pair a few years ago. Purchasing hearing aids for the first time was not easy for a multitude of reasons. Dr. Freed made this process so much easier with his patience, support and technical ability in adjusting the hearing aids.

Took my grandmother there and couldn't be happier! Jenny was so patience and kind making this whole experience not so overwhelming. Would highly recommend to everyone!!!

I wanted to give this office and staff members the benefit of the doubt and have tried three times before writing this review. Each time however, provide to be worse and worse. Staff members from the front desk to the audiologist do not show empathy or compassion towards patients. They are not competent or flexible with patients needs. If you have purchased hearing aids with this company, go to Rockville Center for follow ups!

I went here years ago for my daughter who had chronic ear infections. It was great and she had tubes put in her ears. Now I went for myself 10 yrs later and the Dr was not interested at all and suggested I have a hearing test when I came in for sinus draining. He clearly wasn't interested and was curt to say the least. Not sure what happened.
