What, What, What I yelled to my Sandy, who was standing next to me. Oh the frustration on my loved ones face. Please she implored do something before I×××. Enough said of course she was right. We had received several ad's in the mail. Off to the closest hearing-aid guy. Two well dressed and smiling guys, I felt a chill? Can we help you? Sandy stepped forward, my husband has a hearing problem. Well let's find out how bad the small guy hissed. Into the soundproof booth you go. Looking like a (gas chamber?) I reluctantly stepped in. Moving along here, we found out I had substantial hearing loss. Now getting down to $$$$.$$ is the model best for you. Are you crazy,I could put that down on a new Cadillac. To shorten this epic tale.Next was MIRACLE-EAR we met Don a true southern gentleman, and ear expert. Hearing test again. Don explained the ups and downs of the models that were best for me. We chose one,(same features as the first gip) I mean trip. At almost 1/2 the $$$$.$$. Don explained all the pertinent extras that came with my new set of H.A. My Sandy is happy again, I can hear her now far away when she cries (take out the garbage.) Go see Don so you can 'HEAR-AGAIN. ✋

I had to post this, Jeff and his staff would never take advantage of anyone. I have been coming to see Jeff for 5 years and never once seen him or any staff ever have a bad day. Knowledgable, caring, friendly and down to earth describes Alps Mtn. and everyone that works there.

Dr. Voglewede is very thorough and friendly, and I was able to see him for an urgent matter the same day that it occurred.

I would like to take a moment to tell of my experience with Best Value Hearing. Best Value (West Jefferson) has provided excellent service in Ashe County through the Ashe Senior Center. I would especially like to commend Jon Richardson for his professionalism, his knowledge and his patience in working to make sure that I was properly tested for hearing issues. I credit Jon for the appropriate testing and fitting from the start. When I went in for testing, my assumption was that my only real problem was in separating sounds in noisy situations or where there was background noise. Jon was very helpful in completing the necessary testing to allow me to select the best hearing aids for my needs. I selected the Audibel A3i model which can be controlled by my iPhone. My Audibel hearing aids have never presented problems and have worked well from the start. The iPhone app allows me to use my phone as a remote control. For example, I can change the volume if a situation requires it. Further, I am also able to save volume settings to fit a specific location – such as the sanctuary at church. Also, I can listen to music or other media directly through my hearing aids – anything that can be played on my iPhone or iPad. I go on a regular basis to have Jon check on things, to clean my aids (Jon has this neat little vacuum cleaner to give them a good cleaning) and to get a fresh supply of batteries - part of dealing with Best Value is that they supply batteries for three years. I recently went - after fifteen month - for a check and informed Jon that I believed my hearing needed to be checked. As usual, Jon was patient in doing a re-test and to make the necessary adjustments. Best Value Hearing is definitely a good choice for anyone with hearing loss issue. T. D. Moore, West Jefferson, NC

I was referred to best value by a friend since I am a member of the NRA, and because of my membership there were discounted services through best Value Hearing Center. Having had a long-time problem with tinnitus, the types of hearing aids that they offer have a new technology to reduce or eliminate the effects of the tinnitus. So, I decided to go there. Unfortunately the tinnitus technology that's currently being offered by their hearing aids did not provide any relief or reduction of my tinnitus. But having had so much hearing loss for such a long time the hearing aids that I purchased at a discounted rate due to the NRA membership, have provided me with a tremendous increase in hearing that I haven't had in many decades. Also, I have visited both of their Mooresville and Statesville North Carolina offices as both are relatively close to me for fitting and follow-ups. The people at both locations have been very helpful and very enjoyable to deal with.
