Hearing Aid

For the past ten years, except for a one year hiatus to try what the Fort Worth Costco had to offer, I've been very happy with both Dr. LaRue's thorough, in-depth, hearing care and the fine products Livingston represents -- none of which I experienced at Costco. Dr. LaRue is a REAL doctor, whereas, Costco employees appear to have received about a week of instruction on which knobs to turn and how much. One would be almost as well off to just order aids from some internet site. UPDATE: (5/12/2018) It must have been over a year ago that I posted the above review. Since that time my hearing aids' performance had deteriorated significantly and I had been finding it very hard to follow conversations. They just haven't seemed to be helping, at all, so, I made an appointment to see Dr. LaRue. When he walked into the operatory where I was seated, he was looking in my folder and immediately stated that he had not seen me for a year-and-a-half. Well, I had thought I was doing an adequate job of keeping my aids clean, but, his cleaning procedure is much more thorough and involves disassembly of stuff the layman is not equipped to handle. He showed me that my microphone openings (almost microscopic little holes that I didn't even know about) had become completely plugged. Since that moment, I'm hearing like a champ--with plenty of volume to spare! Oh, and, Dr. LaRue insisted that I schedule regular 4-month visits for the proper care of my aids. I would like to remind you, if you are his patient, that you do the same (the regular visits) so that your own aids will continue to provide maximum performance. And, remember, this continuing assistance is at no extra cost, whatsoever.

Went in for a repair for my husband. They fixed it inhouse instead of having to send it off for repair. He was only without a hearing aid for about 3 days. Great service.

We are extremely pleased with the service we received at Livingston. The staff is so nice and caring. Dr. Arp is wonderful. She explained everything to us each step of the way. When we expressed concern about the financial side of purchasing a hearing aide, she had several different plans available to make it fit our budget. great place. Dr. King was so patient to work with my mother in law. my wife and i have recently had our hearing tested. the test is free. small friendly place, but has everything you need for hearing issues.

Very professional, courteous and knowledgeable staff.

Overly expensive. Paid a $60 copay and an additional $85 for testing, which consisted of putting me in a soundproof room with headphones and playing sounds and asking if I can hear them. This was $185 before insurance. Dr. Pershall was a friendly man, but basically told me there isn't anything I can do about the ringing in my ears. This would have been fine, but the additional $85 ($145 total) made it somewhat annoying. I had no idea I would be paying the extra $85 until I received a bill in the mail.
