If you want a fabulous experience when buying a Townhouse then Retreat at Brookfield is where you should go. We knew as soon as we saw Riverstone that we loved the area however, finding something within our price range we didn’t think was possible. Thank you Brookfield for coming to our aid. Our sales rep was Liz, her expertise and easy attitude made our decision easy. The customer service we received from every staff member at Brookfield is to be commended. Our house has been under “renovations” for the better part of 2 years. I finally got enough saved up to hire someone to complete all the un-finished work (mostly walls, but some flooring and tile work too). Any way I got a few people off Kijiji, and referrals to come give quotes, we decided to go with a the guy with a reasonable price and quick start date. He had done a walk through and told us how he was going to fix everything showed us license and insurance it all sounded legit..... He was here for approx 6 hours day 1 and did more damage than it was to start off with. To name a few, he used cement filler as wall putty, painted the walls the wrong color without filling holes, “puttied” and painted with out sanding, drywalled screwed my Lino down in pieces that didn’t match up, screwed on baseboards and trim, cut pre existing underlay, “caulked” fake tile that was supposed to be removed then left the house a mess with his tools everywhere and my painting supplies left uncleaned and un covered. Needless to say we told him not to return, he threatened to sue for the amount he quoted me. I took pictures because of that threat. I called around and got a few more companies and referrals to fix his work and finish the original Reno’s. We had 3 come in, 2 never got back to us and one was very high priced. I almost gave up then I called Rhymack. Terry answered the phone and listened and empathized with me. She was on the ball and told me they would help and she would get their owner to come over as soon as he got back in, and lo and behold Shawn was at my door within the hour! He saw the state of the house and assured me he would help. It was thanksgiving weekend and he still got a quote together for me and set me up on their online Reno tracker app (so cool). He had guys here within the week and had everything completed within a week! I cannot express my gratitude towards Shawn and Rhymack team of great guys! He answered all my texts right away, kept me up to date on progress, and genuinely cared. It was such a relief. I would trust Shawn with any Reno job that comes up (even though I’m done renovating for a while...most likely)

We have just finished a major renovation using Frank, Brent, Maria and Stuart at Kurmak Builders and couldn't have been more impressed or more pleased with the results. My wife and I have undertaken major renovations before with other builders and have had mixed experiences in the past but I have to say I couldn't have been more impressed with Kurmak's professionalism, their attention to detail and their communication skills. Kurmak use a communication tool called Buildertrend which allowed us to sign off on all materials, see a real time picture of their overall schedule, track progress, track costs and overall stay 100% connected with the Kurmak team (and their sub-contractors) throughout the whole process. The communication could not have been better. In the end the project came in on budget and two weeks early. The scope of this project was large. Kurmak replaced our whole Kitchen and lighting, re-furbished our fireplace, flattened our knockdown ceilings, carpeted our upstairs and replaced our flooring with wide-plank oak flooring throughout the 1400 sq.ft. main floor. We chose to remain in the house throughout all of this work and Kurmak, and their sub-contractors, were incredibly respectful and accommodating throughout the whole experience. If we were to do any work in the future I would look to Kurmak first and my wife and I would recommend them highly to anyone else considering a home renovation.
