I love this place I am working here as a volunteer,all the staff is really helpful and cooperative,residents are very nice I am feeding them . While feeding them in many few days I really attached with them I love them . When they are talking with me I like it and want to serve them more better I enjoy while helping them .........!

My dad is still there. It's a very good place. Their only challenge is they are often short staffed like most places

I found the building clean and spacious and the staff competent and friendly. My mother was well cared for but was moved to another facility which catered to people of her ethic background. The new facility was also located close to her friends; otherwise I would have gladly had her remain in Downsview LTC

I loved working here for 11 beautiful years - and then it changed - where your opinion was not heard and your values were not listened to. It was all about 'appearances' rather than the underlying issues of support and resolution for each senior's unique needs. I chose to take the 'highway' rather than work where you had no voice and were set up to fail for lack of professional inclusion and communication.

With Stan Hrymak’s recent passing, I wanted to take a minute to say that over the years, Thornbrook’s help and support was very much appreciated. I was POA for Stanley for a couple of years until my work schedule took me away from the area at the end of 2013., and I’d like to share some of my observations during the time. In particular, I think Stanley and Maria had a good relationship and he liked her a lot. She understood his way of thinking and not only capably handled his many physical challenges, but could tune into his moods, offer him companionship, and even a little practice in his native Polish language. I think Maria is an excellent caregiver and is an asset to your agency. I also appreciate Barbara’s assistance, and when I would drop in for a visit, she always had excellent meals on the go, and really tried to focus on his nutrition. I remember Stanley really enjoyed mealtimes, and my thanks to Barbara for looking after him so well. I worked with Ruth on occasion regarding his nursing care, and always found her to be a caring and compassionate woman, who also understood Stanley and wanted the best for him. I am very thankful to Thornbrook management for sending us these three women are caring professionals who clearly consider that their work is more than just a job, and always did their best to ensure Stanley’s safety and comfort.

Been a dedicated team member since 2004 love this place. Have met many awesome residents and great team players. To me this is a home away from home.

The staff are very caring, friendly, and efficient. My mother has been very content and healthy since we moved her there.

My mother and father are cared for by so many wonderful ladies at Northridge Long Term Care. And all the caregivers are experienced and show the residence love and compassion 24 hrs a day. I can't imagine a better place to care for people needing long term care. Thankyou to all the staff and to Northridge management for their skills at hiring the right people who seem to love what they can give to the residents at this time of need in their lives.
