A 2 star review is being generous. Care here is limited by staff shortages, inefficient management team, and the fact that the facility only maintains Ontario Minisrty of Health “minimum” patient to staff ratios. Bricks, mortar, and a new building do not create acceptable care. Hence the reason, that the administrator and some of the senior management team have since been removed and replaced with interim management by the Ontario Ministry of Health. In comparison with the much older, and now closed, City run Grandview Lodge, this facility has numerous deficiencies. Our experiences with the senior management team, leave the impression that they refuse to be accountable. Bottom line, we would not at this time recommend this facility for long term care in Thunder Bay. Because I work here

Not the best place in thunder bay, had a big issue with the food that my Father was recieving, and when i approached the Food Manager, Kayla Baxendale, she seemed more concerned about texting on her phone then taking us seriously. Had to move my Father to a different location. Better care out there

I have worked here for nearly four years and can honestly say it doesn't feel like 'work'. The Staff and most importantly the residents have become family. Such a great happy atmosphere!

Gorgeous residence and great staff!

They took excellent care of our Mom and always made us feel welcome every time we visited her. Nothing was ever too big of a problem. Most everyone was very caring toward the residents.

DO NOT EXPECT ANY CO OPERATION FROM THEM IF YOUR ( JUST A FAMILY MEMBER) . THEY DO IF YOUR SENDING THEM CHECK'S , I HAD OVER 20 MESSAGES LEFT WITH THE NEW NEW , HEALTH CARE CO-ORDONATOR ,, AND WELL ®

I loved this beautiful, cozy, modern, nice and elegant retirement home with lots of apartments because this place has lots of services like a rooftop patio, a nurse on place, some activities, a elevator and more. The staff is helpful, affordable, excellent, friendly, nice and welcoming with his or her guests. I will recommend this.

What a BEAUTIFUL place for your loved one! I had to put my mom in a residential care facility because she had Dementia. I was so pleased with their hospitality,they show so much love to there cliants !!! You are treated like family , they are AWESOME.The atmosphere there so wonderful clean,and a lot if love Karen
