Wow right on the lake great beach. Beautiful setting. Reasonable price. The rooms need fixing up but was clean and comfortable

Nothing but amazing things to say about the staff

Friendly, very welcoming host! Cookie made sure that we are very comfortable in our stay as soon as we arrived till the minute that we left. We had to leave very early in the morning and we offered to skip breakfast if its early. But she insisted to prepare very delicious and complete breakfast for us before we got the road again. I advise every one to stay here at Taste of Home B and B. It's much worth it. Thank you xookie!

Beautiful area, but not much there in the way of shopping or restaurants. Only one hotel, and two grocery stores. Living accommodations are very old, my apartment has been up graded, but for looks only, with the cheapest appliance's you can buy, and where very poorly constructed as they where meant for the mining industry years ago. Very little, if any at all, insulation in the walls or ceiling, and very cheap windows, so in the winter, your hydro bill is very high, ( you pay your own hydro) over and above your rent, plus a parking fee. I feel, altogether' it's over priced, considering there's not much in Elliot Lake, and the majority of buildings heat with electric baseboard heaters, both apts. and homes, that are also very dry heat so then you'll need a humidifier, more hydro used. There are a lot of get together's in the building I'm in, along with pot luck dinners, bingo games, and so on, everyone is very friendly, and look out for one another, the city transit stops at the front door, and there are buggies right there to take your groceries to your apt. They also have a wash bay, if you want to clean your car of all the bugs you'll gather. If you love the outdoors, and nature, it's a great place to be, lots of fishing and hunting along with the bugs. The new mall has never materialized, still thinking and talking about it I guess, but then, so I understand, it will only house a library and a grocery store, not much else. The closest big box stores are about a two hour drive away in either direction. Your living out in the wilderness, and I get the feeling I'm cut off from the rest of the world.

Good peaceful place for long/short term living

Arrived half hour ago. The place is undergoing some renovations and as I walk down the hall I was a bit worried how the room would be but I must say the room is nice and clean the bed is very comfortable and the AC works. Has all the amenities you would expect. I stay in hotels a lot and I must say this one has the things that I look for. There is a small amount of frost on the top grade of the air conditioner but the air coming out of it is nice and cold. If I was sleeping in the hallway I might feel differently but the room is great. The gentleman that works the front desk was very friendly. Quick check in. Short notice for a reservation.

Not impressed. 1st. Waited 20 minutes to check in because they couldn't find our name. Finally found it registered under wife's email name. Then looked at room. Hole in wall next to bed. Bathroom black mold all over ceiling trim. Doors not finished being pained in bathroom. And the biggy. We chose this place because of accessibility to indoor pool for wife who is disabled. Only to find out pool is closed all week for maintenance. No one informed us.

Well furnished, air conditioned rooms with excellent view.Close to all amenities and shopping area.

Our overall experience of this Best Western Hotel was amazing! The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the staff only made our stay that much nicer. Definitely a great stay.... again! You can't beat it for the price! Every Best Western Hotel should be held to these standards!

Very clean and beds were sooo comphy. Its like they were memory foam. Bathrooms were clean and AC worked amazing.

Hallways look outdated but the rooms aren't. Nice place and friendly staff. Would stay again

Innkeeper's Quarters were perfect for my wife and I with our adult daughter. Robert was an excellent host.

This motel was the most comfortable and cleanest ...also cheapest with the most beautiful view....we will for sure be back...thank you!!!
