Great hotel, friendly staff and good restaurant

Rooms are sort of inconsistent. All clean but some are dated in style while others are pretty sleek it seems. Breakfast is sort of lacking unless you're on an all carbohydrates diet (croissants and muffins). The staff are very friendly and offer a good environment. Overall the experience was a comfortable night of sleep and a good motel experience.

Great hotel quick and easy check in and out. Parking is free everywhere and you get a food coupon for the restaurants just down the street

The staff were multilingual which helped make even the occasional only english or other foreign language speakers feel welcome. I would still recommend however to know at least some french before visiting Montreal as it is important to the people that you attempt French first. Also most signs in the hotel are french. But was very nice and had a beautiful view of Montreal

Excellente place, personnel courtois et très acceuillant. Les chevaux étais des anges, très bien dompté. J'ai adoré mon expérience et j'y retournerai sans aucun doute.

The location was good for what I needed. The size of the bed was good. Definitely a "no frills" hotel with absolutely no extras but the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The staff were friendly and courteous. It's located close to a main street and parking is free.

Simple accomodations, but very clean and quiet at night.

Good price, not far away from downtown (maybe 20-30 minute drive), but Wifi doesn't work (management told us after the third time asking that we could sit inside the lobby for it to work, it didn't even work on our cell phones). Wifi is a big factor for me so that was an issue - but if you're looking for a one night, cheap stay in Montreal with a decent location (although a bit near oil refineries, not a beauty) and friendly management, than Motel Le Paysan gets the job done.

Rooms are decent but not well lit and smell different. Hotel seems well cleaned. Location is okay, right next to restaurants, Walmart etc but a bit away from downtown though there are Ubers and buses close by

The receptionist pretended she didn't work there to check me in. Had to sign a paper saying not to smoke in the room only to be in a room that smelled like old cigarettes, cigarette paper in my bed. My TV cable didn't work. But there is a restaurant that closes at 2pm and some slots there you could try to win some money to go to a better hotel.
