If you are interested in Real Kung Fu, this is the place to be. Period. I've studied at over five schools and visited dozens more across the United States, and He Shan Shen has the highest level of teaching that I have encountered. Since I started learning Tai Chi and Shaolin over eight years ago I have been amazed by the friendly and awesome quality of Marc Black's lessons. Combine this with the crazy low price, and constant willingness of Marc to teach, and you get an amazing kung fu experience.

This academy is in Greensburg Pa. I have been trying to get this information corrected for 8 years. ATA in Greensburg has an excellent reputation, but it is not in Greentree. I hope this information may help someone.

I have been working out with the staff of Mark Cherico’s Martial Arts Academy for better than 2 years. I walked into the Academy at the age of 48 with zero skills. I could barely skip rope could manage a few push up and a couple of sit ups. I have improved myself through the motivation and teaching skills of the professional coaching staff. My personal preference is the boxing and the Mauy Thai Kickboxing curriculum. I am now capable of throwing a barrage of punches, kicks, knees, and elbows in defense of myself. I am confident I could hold my own in a street fight, not that I am interested in a street fight or any other fight. My goal at the Academy is stay in shape and learn some fighting skills. I have been ver successful thanks to the excellent coaching. Both Khama Worthy, and Khru Anthony Durnell have guided and motivated me to push myself just a little harder and to better myself in every class. Regardless of your age or physical condition there is something for you here. Come check out the facilities and talk to the professional coaching staff. There is something here for you.

This is the first martial arts school that makes it affordable for big families. The instructors really care about the children. They make the classes fun for the kids,wile mastering the techniques they need.I would recommend this school to anyone who wants more than just trophies on the wall. They also offer classes for the parents this gives everyone the opportunity to get in shape and grow as a family as well.
