Martial Arts

From the first moment I walked in the door, I was made to feel very welcome. Great club - GREAT INSTRUCTION, great people!

Great class !

I love this dojo I would recommend this dojo for all ages

Teaching martial arts through virtues and making kids accountable. Training world class competitors.

An awesome place!! The owners are very professional and respectful. I will keep my son here as long as I can :)

I've been going here for almost 2 years. It's an excellent program for all ages. It teaches self-defence in a positive encouraging environment. Kids learn firsthand about respect discipline, focus and paying attention all while having a great time! My family will continue to go for years to come!

Our son has had a wonderful time in Mr. Morningstar's classes. He has learned the value of working hard to achieve his promotions and he has made so many good friends in his classes as well. Mr. Morningstar is a tremendous role model and demonstrates great patience and skill, as well as a sense of humour. The kids love him.

My son started at Rising Sun about 8 months ago, one month in my daughter wanted to join as well. This has been a very positive experience for both of them and my husband and I have noticed that their ability to focus and their confidence has improved. All of the masters are patient and support the kids as they move through the levels and the patterns become more complex. The structured atmosphere helps with self discipline while there is always an element of fun and healthy competition.

Awesome experience! I'm a 43 year old trying crossfit for the first time. I am impressed with the training and the increase in my ability in 3 short weeks. Most of the people I have met are around my age and are very supportive. Try out a free class, that's how I got hooked.

Coach Denise rules.

Lots of coaches nice variety of coaching. I love the programming and the class size is nice for individualized attention.

I have been saved by the team at Activ8 more than once. Many years ago I had issues with my ankle. They worked hard, got to know me and treated me with so much care and attention, they also kicked my butt, which i needed! And just recently I threw my back out lifting my daughter up and in just one season I feel 75% better. They will also work within the parameters of your insurance. Just an all around amazing place to get you feeling great!

This is a great club. There are top notch instructors in Boxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu. Come on down and try out some classes. Beginners to professionals welcome. There are also womens only classes and kids classes, including kids jiu jitsu.

NextGen has an absolutely PHENOMENAL After School Program run by a wonderful group of people! Highly Recommended for parents who are looking for a clean, fun, educational and safe atmosphere for their children!

I moved to St. Catharines 3 years ago for work, and joined the St. Catharines Martial Arts Centre a few months after that. I had previously studied Goju Ryu Karate with another organization, and trained in a few other styles of marital arts over the years. And my experience at St. Catharines Martial Arts Centre has far surpassed anything I've experienced thus far. The curriculum is diverse filled with many complimenting forms, and is based in a direct linage. There are also many different seminars throughout the year for all age ranges. With over 30 years of experience Sensei Toth and the other instructors are passionate, knowledgeable and dedicated teachers. And it has been my honour to train under them. I would recommend St. Catharines Martial Arts Centre to anyone on the spectrum of interest in the martial arts beginner-advance and I would especially recommend it to someone who wants to try something new you won't regret it!

Great

This is a great dance studio in the heart of St. Catharines. The instructors are very friendly and accommodating and their dance parties are great. I highly recommend them.
