I Give this school 5 stars. 5 because of what I feel this offers you really can't find anywhere else mentally and physically. I'm a 41 year old male and I've been a student at Joslin's for just over a year now .. and I can't even to begin to tell you about how much positivety this school has to offer! :). From the men, women and the kids to the staff and most of all Jeff Joslin, so much great great attitudes mixed in with the fact every one here comes to live there greatest dreams possible. I've been a guy that looks at challenges straight in the face and smiles. From my crossfit lifestyle ( family ) to the 5 tough Mudders and 2 Spartan races in my background and many more to come .. I have found and seen with my own heart and soul that by far Joslin's Jiu Jitsu and kickboxing for me had been nothing more than one of my greatest challenges for my self ever ! :). Through training these great disciplines at Joslin's plus Jeffs look on life you'll find you come and train and keep wanting more , to push yourself to be better !, and not just for yourself but for everyone around you. It's truly amazing you have to try and see it for yourself. Joslin's has made me better . This is why I give it a 5 :).

I'm very pleased and satisfied with my kids performance. Young Park staff are super nice, and they are very professional in training of Martial arts Taek Wondo. My whole family registered, my kids loves this place very much. Grand master, masters and instructors are really very nice. We feel staff are member of my family. I without any doubt strongly recommend it.

I did jiu jitsu here for quite a while here when i was younger, one of the best things ive ever done and im considering returning though now an adult.

Words cannot describe how much my child's life has improved when he started kickboxing at the DMA. Although much of any extra-curricular is about a good fit for the child, and it has been a fantastic fit for ours, Emily and Thor at Determination Martial Arts have made a very special space for children and adults. Our son is trans, and not once has he faced a single moment of bias. The space is incredibly positive and has a feeling of safety and inclusiveness like no other I have come across. Emily is patient and very kind, and connects with her students in a respectful and kindly authoritative manner. Her teaching style encompasses compassion, and is tempered with a willingness to encourage her students to test their limits and be better beyond their expectations. It's a complex method, and she makes it look effortless.

Fantastic traditional karate club highly recommend

I have been there for five years. My son and I are fortunate enough to have the Nash's here for us. People expect them to raise their kids. Want special treatment ? I don't know what exactly people want from this club but I get everything I have ever wanted or needed .

First Choice Martial Arts offers classes for ages 3 and up. Our Program teaches the benefits of self-discipline, confidence, focus and respect through or specialized teaching methods. Each student is taught through our differentiated teaching model so that each student can thrive and succeed in our program.

Something for the entire family...top-notch, professional instructors, friendly and approachable owners...we've danced as a family here for 4 years now and love it!

Amazing place with the best Senseis.

I agree this Karate school is dirty, the floor the kids practice on is filthy, the mirrors are filthy, there is always dust on top of the fire place, the front desk is a mess of papers and looks very disorganized and unprofessional. I would never have signed my son up if I knew it was like that ALL the time. I too will put in a complaint to the health and safety board, get them to inspect. The women that runs the front NEVER writes anything down so when you ask about something the next week the answer is always "I forgot" or is blamed on someone else. They seriously need too make some changes. Clean more, get organized and take responsibility for your mistakes.

SCAMMERS! LIERS! BE AWARE This happened couple of years ago and it never doubt on me to leave a review. I hope this will save someone's wallet. I went in with my two boys ages 6 and 9. I was hoping for the boys to like the activity. Anyhow, as soon as we walked upstairs, one of the sons of the owner said, "hi, you guys are here to sign up so we can take your money?" I just kind of brushed it off because the owners boy was young also. My boys were scared to join the class, so we sat couple of times on the couch. My 9 year old tried half a class. The lady owner told me that I can sign up the boys and I can cancel anytime. I thought it was okay just in case if the boys didn't want to continue. I went to her office to sign the contract. I told her that it doesn't say I can cancel anytime in the contract, she said, "don't worry just pay monthly and whenever the boys didn't want to come just stop paying. Month to month. Being naive, I sign the contract. Well the boys kept sitting on the couch and didn't want to go on the floor. One would go for 20 min then would stay out. I told the guy owner, (the lady wasn't there), that the boys will be quoting next month. He said u have signed the contract and have to pay for a year. I said to him to talk to his wife regarding this. I called in to talk to the lady owner and she said yo me she never have said that to me and I'm obligated to pay for the boys for a year. I paid 1200 for the boys that year. I really hope you guys chock on that money!! Just want to let people know out there, write on the contract and tell her to sign it so she can remember it.

The best martial art school in Burlington for sure.
