The Academy of Martial Arts is a family owned and operated facility that is obviously dedicated to delivering traditional martial arts to its students in a professional and responsible setting. We love seeing our students grow both personally and as martial artists with life long training as their primary goal.

Tae Kwon Do is not only a way to learn self-defense, self-control and gain self -confidence, but it is an art in itself. The beauty of the art is demonstrated through its patterns or “tuls”. It is very difficult to find a teacher who comprehends and understands the beauty or art side of this martial art. Mr. Toor not only provides great encouragement and confidence in his students, but he wants them to master the “tul” and understand the strength one gains from the art. Mr. Toor is a very knowledgeable and humble teacher and ensures his students get 100% of his knowledge and time while teaching.

My experience with Dan Oke is older than most due to the fact we have trained together for years. He is someone that I have come to trust with anything and my trust isn't given easily. His experience with children and youths is only rivalved by his passion for the martial arts and training. He has a tough road to tow being an instructor at at least 11 different locations but does so with a smile on his face while he builds his permanent roots in Milton. Power on Dan!

My family and I are very happy with our experience with this facility. It is very clean and open to all for a fair price. The schedule offers many different types of classes for kids and adults. If there were one thing I would say that could be improved it would be the early closing times - 8 pm on the weekends- 10 pm on weekdays..

Ruth has helped me to develop muscles that I was not using to improve my posture and fitness. She constantly challenges me while making our sessions fun. Her workouts make you feel that you are really doing something and the results are evident.

My son absolutely loves it here. Master Felix is beyond great, he really encourages the children to do and be their best. Nice,clean, big open space. Classes are not jam packed so teacher gets one on one time with the students. Love the fact that trial classes were offered prior to commitment. Would highly recommend.

My daughter has been attending this amazing family business since she was 5. Not only has Darlene taught her life saving techniques but also emotional cognitive growth that supports a healthy living lifestyle! This is also a family that has made a united jiu jitsu family out of all of us !

As a member of Groundworx for about 5 years I can safely say it's a second home for me. The owners are caring and thoughtful to the continued development of our gym. .Our coaches are also attentive experienced and knowledgeable and ensure all members are attended to regardless of level of your athleticism . The atmosphere is encouraging for all levels of fitness but still fosters healthy completion amongst those athletes who wish to push a little harder . What I have enjoyed the most are all the wonderful friendships I have made over the years as a member. We welcome all new members into our gym and are honestly like a family . I can say I have worked out at all different times at our gym and every Wod time is a fun time! I love my Groundworx family ! 💪
