Martial Arts

The best afterschool program! Friendly and caring staff.

Very nice gym good kids and well run

Awesome teacher. He's strict and firm with everyone equally. Yet not to the point your child with feel bad. I've seen a better attitude from my son since he started few months ago. Great prices even after the first month.

Offers first class instruction in a very well equiped studio. Has full a matted floor in the training area and a small gym. Martial arts equipment is available at retail prices. Saw some used equipment available at very reasonable prices. Instructors friendly and helpful.

This place has literally helped save my life. Great facility, always kept clean and for a small town like blackfalds its amazing and fully loaded. Tons of weights and machines with plenty of room. The staff is always friendly. Never once had a problem ever. Plenty of heavy lifters and grannys alike all welcome. Ive lived in toronto and you cant find a gym this loaded for such a good price there. Its truly a blessing... Keep healthy people one body one life take care of it!! To all the people who dedicate their hard work and effort into making the abbey such an awesome place thank you very very much!

My boys both have so much better focus, respect, and discipline since beginning the karate and muay thai classes. Best decision our family ever made!

I go there

I have enrolled my child in several different martial art schools over the past few years. None of them came close to offering the same level of instruction that we have recieved at Fire Dragon Taekwondo. Master Pellerin truly has a gift when it comes to teaching children. An Awesome Instructor! Thanks, Adam P.

I am proud to be a member of this club. Master Cheney is the real deal. Not only is he an upstanding member of red deer, he is an excellent martial artist. The caliber of training that he gives is top notch, and he produces results.

Went to my first class hesitant...walked out feeling strong and positive. Very welcoming atmosphere!!! Thank you☺

Rodrigo Resende Academy is not only a club but a second home to those who are striving to be the better versions of themselves. I am a witness to the growth of this gym not only because of its awesome teaching team, superb instructional level and amazing family orient community. I am speaking as a mom who have watched her son grow from a shy boy to a confident martial artist. Vincent has been one of the first student assistants of Sensei Rodrigo. Sensei has seen his potential and has sponsored him to train high level Judo in Bastos, Brazil. Vin had been training since March and today was promoted into his Purple Belt (Blue Belt). Sensei and his team of instructors have provided a great support for the growth of this young man. I am proud of him and I am proud to be a member and student of Rodrigo Resende Academy! Oss!
