We are so happy our daughter joined PRO Martial Arts Waterloo. Her activity level has increased, her self confidence has improved and her manners at home are amazing. The instructors are what really makes this dojo work and keep you interested in coming back. They are fantastic with the students and are just incredible to watch. The values, principals and self defense they teach the students are paramount as to why this program works. I would highly recommend PRO Martial Arts Waterloo to anyone. Great instructors, different classes for different abilities.

Understanding of each individuals needs. My son looks forward to gymnastics every week, he gets so excited! A really great overall experience. Staff and coaches are very caring.

My son is taking Taekwondo here since almost a year. I am very happy with the instructors and plans and programs they have. If they improve their audience facilities like chairs, add water fountain, and also organize their changing rooms it will be super.

An excellent Tae Kwon Do club in the KW region with great Masters. Master Bauer and his team are highly professional and friendly, not only for kids but also for adults. Strongly recommended!

Our family loves Pride! A modern, welcoming take on martial arts. After 2.5 yrs, they still love coming and aside from great martial arts techniqus, they have learned life lessons and how to stand up for themselves.

I am a recent student of Buffalo United Martial Arts (BUMA) within the last two months but this academy has become a second home to me and the students and instructors are like a second family, a fight family. I started off with Muay Thai (Thai boxing and kickboxing) as I was looking to expand from the boxing classes that I had started with at another gym. Going to a new place and earning something that was completely new to me was very intimating but from day one, my fears were put to rest. Our Muay Thai Kru (teacher) Keith Forant is the only WTBA certified Muay Thai instructor in WNY who happens to be a brown belt in Jiu Jitsu as well. Every class whether it be the Ladies only or Coed, I feel like I am learning and constantly improving. I slowly got interested in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as the concept of a smaller person being able to defend themselves against a much bigger person is intriguing to me as a female. On the first day I was able to work on a armbar submission on our head instructor black belt, Joshua Ketry, and after that day I was hooked and I haven’t looked back. The instructors are amazing at teaching their craft and the students are very welcoming and patient. For only been with this school for two months but I feel like I’ve known these people for years, in reality I know I will know them for years as this is something that has changed my life and plan on continuing. If you are looking for something different because you feel like you’re missing “something” in your regular gym or you need to feel strong, I HIGHLY recommend that you give BUMA a shot to change your idea of what you are capable of. The Impossible becomes Possible.

It was a cold November night as I entered the facility for the first time. With a name that starts with Lake Effect, you'd expect a cold atmosphere from those who attended. I could not have been more wrong. Where I thought there'd be ice, I was met with fire like I have never seen before. That which burned with the intensity of a thousand suns. Over a year has passed now, since I first joined Lake Effect Martial Arts, and it is a decision I will never regret. The instructors and my teammates have been so helpful in my BJJ journey. They don't just prepare you for the storm, they help you become the storm. Dramatics aside, this truly is a great facility to come learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Some of the best talent trains here, which only helps to propel you forward in learning this art. Whether you want to compete or are doing this for self defense/ fitness purposes, I don't think you'll find a better place to train in Western New York.

Hello. This school is very good. I have no regrets having my son switch from another martial arts school to Swan’s Martial Arts School. My son loves to attend class 3x/wk. During the last 4 years, he has requested to miss class only 4-5 times. I began the adult class shortly after my 7yo started. I appreciate that Sensei Swan teaches most of the classes. I believe it’s worth the cost of the monthly tuition to get exercise and learn valuable mind/body martial arts skills that will last a lifetime.

Great gym. I haven't tried it yet , but it looks good.
