Can't say enough great things about Yuen's Martial Arts, especially when it comes to providing kids and family martial arts classes. City Sidewalk's founders have been actively involved as students at Yuen's for the past 15 years and our children have both received their black belts through Yuen's in Coquitlam as well as been instructors at the school.

I started at ATA Martial Arts - Tricities this past January as cross training for competitive curling and it's been great! After the first month I noticed a significant change in my overall fitness level and saw the benefits transfer over to my other athletic activities. I have also seen an improvement in my memory skills with the memory work assigned for each cycle and the required memorization of the forms. The teachers are fantastic and super accommodating. If you're struggling with something, the instructors will work with you one on one (depending on time and class size) during the small group sessions. The arrangement of being grouped with students working towards a similar belt rank has been helpful as we can work together towards the same goal with an instructor focused on our progress. The optional addition of sparring sessions (through the Black Belt Club) is also a benefit! If you're thinking about registering yourself or your child into Taekwondo, I would definitely suggest this school :)

Both my boys have been part of the ATA program for just over two years. The school's philosophies and lessons have been instrumental in assisting with our boys academic and personal growth. The instructors teach you both how to defend yourself and respect your community. They also teach the children when to speak up and when to be humble. Again, we thank the Academy for all they do for our Romero boys and the community at large.

Fun and teaches me a lot

It is a great way to start your martial arts here at Aries Martial Arts Academy. My two kids love it and enjoy their training very much. Excellent Sensei, great training and reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Very good place to learn Taekwondo. The coaches are very nice and professional. My son has been there for a year. He likes the coaches and made many friends there. Strongly recommend!

A great place to train and learn Taekwondo. Master Kim's extensive world-renown experience and working knowledge of various martial arts including Taekwondo, Kumdo, and Hapkido makes this a very family friendly place to learn and grow as a person. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone wanting learn taekwondo.

The Woodwards are great teachers. Mrs. Woodward is a 4th degree black belt with the demeanor of a Kindergarten teacher.

He is a great Master and I have learned and am still learning from him. He is a great teacher and his excitement and passion shows through his teachings.
