Over the last two years, I have been a member of the JHK dojang and this wonderful school has had such an amazing impact on my life. As a child, I practiced tae kwon do and fell in love with the sport. As I grew up and went off to college, I fell out of practice. A couple years ago, I got the itch to come back to tae kwon do after a 7 year hiatus and was really nervous. My former school had closed, so I knew I would have to start over somewhere. I worried that it would be different than what I grew up with and that I wouldn't be able to do it as well as I had as a child. After the first few weeks at JHK, all of my worries were gone. The school is very welcoming of new people and Ms. Perrin and her staff of instructors do a lot to differentiate the instruction to meet individual needs and personalize your learning in a positive and safe environment. One thing that really stood out to me about the environment of JHK was that they encouraged me to use my previous knowledge and skills as building blocks to grow from in a new style of tae kwon do. I love the curriculum at JHK because it is rooted in the traditional tae kwon do style and continually introduces new skills to keep me motivated as a learner. I have also had the pleasure of becoming part of the JHK community and have made some amazing new friends at the school who encourage me in my training as well. Overall, training at JHK has been one of the best experiences of my life! I cannot overstate how much I love my tae kwon do school!

Master Viani's Tiger Martial Arts is a fun and exciting experience. Their family based training makes this an ideal place for people of all ages. In my experience with Master Viani's Tiger Martial Arts I feel that I did not just become a Martial Arts student but a part of their extended Martial Arts Family. The Instructor Team here is amazing.

This is what I get out of the Fitness kick boxing And Taekwondo at Quest Martial Arts: Mr. Rowe's dojo exudes positive energy I feel that I accomplished something very good for my body, mind and soul Gave it my all I get recharged with positive energy I have a feeling of well being and satisfaction that I did not give up – perseverance it is called every time I learn something new the camaraderie among the group members is wonderful and inspiring Mr. Chris Rowe as a coach/sensei is very sensitive, empathetic and extremely passionate about what he does and this is infectious. This is not all, but I think, that is a good start. I highly recommend Quest Martial Arts Academy!

This is an absolutely AMAZING club that has instilled the values of respect and self-confidence in my 10-year old son. I would recommend it for any child in Kelowna!

I had been hearing great comments regarding Rahn's Black Belt Academy here in Langley from other Moms at my sons school , and I was pleased to accept an invitation for a free class. Mr. Rahn has a large facility for about 20+ kids and most of them are familiar with each other through school or other activities here in Langley, so this made my boy feel welcomed. My son is in grade 2 and is interested in martial arts. After his first day his interest in learning increased. I have noticed that the pride in personal achievement has increased my son's confidence. He practices at home . He has graduated to an orange belt. He has strength and flexibility. He has learned what it means to demonstrate the very same values I teach at home : Respect, Loyalty, Goals , Courtesy. Mr Rahn has a firm yet fun way to teach the kids, and they are eager to win his approval by trying their best. I have had far less negotiating and more obedience from my son since taking classes. He looks forward to becoming a Black Belt and is setting his own goals which makes me very proud. There has been a great improvement in response to bullying , my son knows how to defend himself and others if need be as well as the wisdom to walk away. Great TKD school for children or adults. Master Rhee is the best!

I love bringing my daughter here. It's been just over a year. I feel the owner and instructors are just as passionately committed to developing integrity and other critical life skills, as they are to developing capabilities and coaching for results. The entire team truly live into their values and my daughter, who was initially hesitant to try TKD, has found her passion in it.

Our family joined Seung-ri Academy this past April after 2 colleagues of mine recommended the school. My children (ages 4 and 7) began their training first and as I observed them enjoying their classes I was compelled by the quality of the training program to join as well. I began my training in May and my husband began in June. We have been thrilled with the quality and consistency of training as well as the welcoming, community feel of the academy. (We train at the South Surrey location) Each instructor brings a unique perspective to your technique and they are capable of providing instruction tailored to each student’s learning style in order to achieve results. Mr. Raphael teaches many of the Tiny Tigers and Karate for Kids classes and I can honestly say I have yet to see another a children’s instructor or teacher in any other program that is as relatable, patient or kind! Mr. R. Davidson has a passion for precision and his dedication to creating a quality training experience shines through in every class! Mr Skaar gives a fun and fierce workout and will push you to be your best. I recommend this Taekwondo Academy to all of my friends and family. As a family, we are learning life skills at Seung-ri that are transferable to our every day lives. Respect, communication and self-esteem have been our focuses so far and I am thrilled that my children are learning more than just physical skills and getting aerobic exercise. The social and emotional learning will be equally beneficial for life-long mental health and wellness.
