We are so happy that we found SACA. Our three children are receiving a quality Classical Education in a loving, Christian environment. We couldn't be more pleased with the caliber of the teachers and administration that SACA offers. Our kids love to go to school and enjoy learning. We appreciate the small class sizes and the solid curriculum which our kids are able to experience. We highly recommend SACA to those looking for a Classical Christian education.

The Goddard School

The Goddard School

I had chosen The Goddard School in Ladera Ranch to send my infant son of 8 weeks at the time because I knew one of the teachers/care takers in the infant room. What I didn't know is that the other four teachers were just as excellent as she was. They were concerned with not only the child but us as a family. This school delivers excellent customer service. My 5 year old son attended as well earlier on for the Pre-school and Kindergarten Boot-camp and is doing very well in private school. It is imperative that the parents are communicating with the teachers on a regular basis so that expectations are set and can be delivered by the teachers to the best of their abilities. Basically, the school is complete and thorough to what is required to ensure my child is able to excel in the elementary schools in all areas (socially and educationally).

Best school I've ever attended. All of my teachers are phenomenal and there is an organic farm on campus where I have volunteered at and learned so much from for 3 years. Academics are great, and the environment is very spiritually uplifting.

Lutheran High School of San Diego

Lutheran High School of San Diego

810 Buena Vista Way, Chula Vista, California, 91910, United States
I went to this school my freshman year of high school and, although I was only able to stay for one year before moving across the country, Lutheran High School set me up for success. As a bit of background, my parents originally considered Lutheran High School because the tuition at Mater Dei and OLP was far more than my family could afford. I also qualified for an insane amount of financial aid because, at the time of application, my dad was laid off. At Lutheran, I was able to involve myself in sports, grow in my love for christ, and develop essential skills. I felt like my education was important there. One of my parents' concerns was that such a small school wouldn't be equipped with the resources to challenge me academically. Even though the school is small they were able to offer me and other gifted students honors classes. Even for students who were not determined to be on the same level as my peers and I were academcally, their class sizes were very small so that they were able to get the attention they needed to succeed and the encouragement that propelled them to become better students, christians, and citizens of the world. The instructors pushed me to be better and challenge my own personal best every single day. I transferred to a public high school and was so ahead that I graduated when I was 16, and I believe that is owed to Lutheran High School. Now I'm one year away from college graduation, where I'm on track to earn my bachelors of science in mechanical engineering. I've interned at NASA and Boeing. Basically I'm in an awesome place in my life and my future looks so bright, and a lot of that has to do with the year I spent at this magical school. If it is within your playing cards to send your child to Lutheran, do it. If it isn't, figure out how to make it work for your family. I'm so thankful that my parents made such extrordinary sacfices to send me to this amazing school. Thanks Lutheran.

My eldest son had a very difficult time succeeding at the local High School. His ADHD made tracking and turning in homework almost impossible. Although he received an aide, and had sympathetic teachers, there was just no way for the public school system to deal with kids who had severe organizational issues. This resulted in years of fighting, pleading and begging my eldest son to keep up with the blizzard of work he was receiving and not able to organize and complete. He would receive an A or B on all of his tests, but then got a C, D or F for not turning in his homework on time. In many cases the work was completed but not taken out of his backpack. No amount of school visits or district help was able to fix this. Great intentions but no ability to execute a meaningful IEP. At Halstrom this issue has been mostly resolved. My son is able to advance quickly in math and science by demonstrating mastery, and the school works with us on completing and turning in homework. The one on one format is the key; F's in math disappeared and are now A's in pre calc. This week he scored the highest marks in the school on French. I would have sworn there was no way he would finish high school, but now he is thriving. There are still problems understanding how to complete assignments and track over due work, but the smaller setting, and the willingness of the staff to work with us is making the difference. Of course this all comes at a cost, but from my point of view I'd prefer to invest my sons college money now than watch helplessly as he struggled to get through High School. Definitely not for everyone, but for a kid that can't get the necessary attention required to succeed in the public system, I think this is a great solution. My youngest son is doing well in public school so I have no intentions of putting him in Halstrom. I look at Halstrom as the right solution for those that have tried every option in the public system but still can't get the help they need.

My 4 year old son has attended FCM for almost a year and a half and he loves it. They had him potty trained in less than one month. And the don't let the kids run crazy and watch movies and play all day. They acctualy teach them alot of stuff from their ABC's & counting & writing latters & crafts to manners, potty traing, Bible verses, singing, and to be kind to other people, they get to go play outside a couple times a day and have play time with music they can sing to, they also get storie times and I think once a week movie time I'm not sure thought. But tis scool is the best my child has learned so much and made good friends. I love the themed parties they have and wonderful mothers and fathers day lunch with the kids and a great lunch they are so great I could go on and on. Thank you, J.M.
