Private Schools

I like Ojai Valley School, though the curriculum could be a bit more welcoming of new material.

Definitely what you look for in a private school- feeling of community. Each child is known by name by the entire staff, faith families create a cross age buddy system, and the celebration of service ensure the whole child is being educated. This school thrives because of the community dedication and connections. Where else can a child feel safe, secure, and loved- a true extension of the home.

Truly Catholic education that works closely with students' families.

This school is a great blessing for our son. He loves the teachers and the other children here. He loves going to school everyday in this warm and safe environment.

Amazing teaching staff and very helpful. I am now a graduated student and my 2 years of changing my life from Patterson High School, absolutely one of the worst schools the Central Valley could offer, was a beautiful and fast process. Now on to college for bigger and better things. Love you Pastor Paul and Miss Jessica and all the beautiful people I met during my time here!!

I attended 4 years of school here and while I found it academically challenging and fun. Many staff members were under qualified or I'll prepared. While it is to be expected as a Catholic school sometimes there are rare instances of people being looked down upon for not being Catholic.

This is a very unique and special school. My wife and I were both public school teachers for over a decade and had never considered sending our child to an independent school, until we found Oak Grove. Our daughter is now in her senior year at Oak Grove, having been there since Kindergarten. A constant refrain from all students is that at OGS, you can be who you really are -- and are encouraged to do so. Relationships and self awareness are not afterthoughts here, but integral parts of the curriculum.
