This was my high school for high school. 1986 graduate. I had tears looking at the photos. Life is hard and High school has great memories. I had my first cheerleading tryouts in the new gym. It was built back in my day. Loved the German class over off the Gym. It was fun to see my old locker too. School was tough and I am glad for that. I appreciate all I can looking back.ay God continue to bless this place.

Really was transformational for my son. He was able to take risks academically, socially, and on the playing fields and courts without judgement, given supportive culture. I attribute his time there developing (including character) to his success in college and now the private sector

Averroes High School gave my son pride in him of being a muslim. He developed high self esteem and confidence due to the mentoring provided by AHS. I expect him to provide great service to humanity and Insh-Allah he will be a good example for other youth, all because if education from AHS

A christ like approach to education. the kids are incouraged to be the best that they can be. Not just in academics but in music as well. Both my children attend there and if I had others I would send them as well.

My three year old son attended this preschool for only 30days. Under my conception the teachers were not well prepared. My son speaks only spanish and we only speak spanish at home. The teachers suggested me to talk ONLY in english to my son so he will not have problems at school. I was surprised by this because they supposed not know that when a child does not speak english they can use other ways to teach. Also studies shows, specially in this county were kids speaks more than one lenguage that kids can get confused when both lenguages are mix. Teachers are young, not well prepared and some of them rude. I will not recommend this school.
The Saklan School - Pre-K - 8th
1678 School St, Moraga, California, 94556, United States
My child has been at the school since pre-school. We drive from Oakland which is only about 15 minutes and have done so for 6 years now. There is also van service from certain areas. This school is all about education and community. The children gain confidence at an early age and it builds through the 8th grade level where they usually go off to the top schools in the bay area and then beyond to be successful students in college etc. The class sizes are small. There is individual attention from generally good to excellent faculty and the art, music and language programs are superior.

This is experience when My kid was in this school. I felt teachers at public schools could teach in better way. Actually there were experienced teachers and also teachers who could be called stupid. There were stupid teachers in public school but stupidity of teachers of this school was much above average. You'd better look at notes or home works of your kids.

My daughter, who is in grade one now, is a bit on the hyper side and could not fit with Challenger's rigid, almost military like, learning environment. But once I moved her to Startford she has blossomed.. and did really well in kindergarten and is also now doing fine as first grader. I give credit to the teachers and administrators of this school who welcomed us with open arms from day one.. as I had to yank her out in the middle of the school year, last year.
