St Joseph School
43222 Mission Blvd, Fremont, California, 94539, United States
Our kids are very happy here and their love for learning exemplifies how the whole school--teachers, staff, and admin are all a part of creating that safe environment for them to not only learn, but also care for each other and others outside of the school community. They are aware and thoughtful. These are the most formative years of their lives and as the old saying goes...it takes a village...well, what St Joseph's has to offer is an education not only academically but also spiritually and socially.

St John Vianney School
4601 Hyland Ave, San Jose, California, 95127, United States
Saint John Vianney is a school that provides children not only with outstanding education, but with high moral values, and a strong sense of community and service. It is a top notch with committed teachers that have far exceeded my expectations year after year, an outstanding Athletic Department, and a very strong faculty and school community. My son was blessed the day he was accepted into Saint John Vianney.

Santa Lucia School, also known as the Peace School is probably the finest environment in the world our son could have grown up in. A small school, with small classes, on a creek, with all of the things i could dream of for a perfect school. Art where they really make things, classes with outside instructors delivering eye opening presentations for the children, a creek to jump in that even has beavers in it! The experiences our son had at the Santa Lucia School are wonderful and wonderfilled. Can you tell - I love this place and encourage you to bring your children too!

I just read the ONE bad review given on this school and cannot believe it. My daughter goes to CCJDS and absolutely loves it. Just like the child mentioned in the poor review - we put our daughter here after extreme bullying at her former school. What she found was acceptance, guidance and friendship. CCJDS is a home away from home - a community and a school - not to mention the fantastic education and spiritual element. I look forward to the years to come at CCJDS, and I cannot wait until my younger child is ready for her K-8 at CCJDS. We simply could not have asked for a better school or a better fit. If you are looking for a Jewish Day School in the Bay Area, I strongly recommend you come and tour.

Merryhill Elementary & Middle School

My daughter has been going to Merryhill since the summer before JrK and we are very happy with the school. All the teachers we have had so far are excellent, and even the office staff are great. My daughter has a very energetic outgoing personality and this school with its culture of all-round development is a perfect fit for her. She loves going to school everyday ! Their focus on academics is pretty competitive, but at the same time they also have great extra-curricular opportunities for kids to pursue other interests like sports, music, theater, robotics, etc. The principal also organizes regular parenting workshops which are helpful. The communication from class teachers is organized, frequent and efficient. I am amazed at the progress my daughter made in reading and language arts in just one year. Though these are not her strong areas, the class teacher recognized the need to work with her a bit more, and did it. The school building and the grounds around it are pretty good, but as other reviewers pointed out, parking can be a challenge. We have made peace with that fact now and just plan ahead of time (especially during school events). I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a positive, nurturing and holistic experience.

Both my children attend Merryhill - elementary and preschool. The most important element that has always amazed me is the teachers and staff. Both elementary and preschool have excellent leadership. At the elementary school, Karen Cooper is the kind of principal who takes special care of every student, every parent, and every staff member. She is there to celebrate the successes, and helps to foster important lessons when expectations aren't met. Although parents are busy at demanding jobs in the valley, some still find time to volunteer and participate in PTA. I hope even more will participate next year. At the preschool, Principal Heather Bilbro always has time to listen to my concerns. I get the sense that she is perfectly suited for her job - always ready to hug a toddler or calm a little baby. I'm glad we found this school. It gets better every year.

My 4 year old daughter has been going to CM since she was 5 months old. My 16 month old son started last week. He had been going to a traditional Daycare-school since he was 4 months old and I had been eagerly waiting to enroll him at CMS as soon as possible. I have been time and again impressed by CMS for past few years. The teachers are truly amazing, very caring, loving and teach the children not only independence but how to make the right choices. I am amazed at what my daughter learns every day and how she has grown in confidence and her personality in a positive way. This week is my son's first week at CMS and he is already learning sign language and his body parts. In the big scheme of things, this is small learning but it is surprising how the teachers at CMS (Infant, Toddler and Primary) work with the children to make then self-reliant and communicate to the best of their abilities.
The director and owner at CMS is very responsive in any feedback you bring to her attention and takes necessary steps. As a parent, one of the tough decisions is to find the right school for the kids and I think that I made the right choice in sending my kids to CMS! Best decision ever!!
