One of the best school I've seen. Everything in the school promotes learning. The kids are working together to learn things. And the teachers are so good with the kids. It's amazing to see the interaction between kids and teachers.

Pray to St Joseph of Cupertino before exams, you will succeed.

BCMS has been a great pre-school for my son. This is our second year and he is thriving -- learning how to positively interact with children his age, younger and older. He enjoys the curriculum and brings home amazing and creative projects daily. The teachers update us regularly on his progress and encourage his learning in the classroom and beyond. The school is also flexible with after care for working parents and they provide a hot lunch program. I'd recommend BCMS to any parent looking for a pre-school for their child.

We have had 4 children experience SPHDS and it has been an excellent school, with a beautiful Jewish foundation and a caring attitude to all students. I would absolutely recommend this school to any prospective student.

It was okay (But it's really great though)

Merryhill in Santa Rosa is awesome! There are not very many centers that take infants in Santa Rosa, and MH is one of them... and in my opinion... the best! All ages are very well cared for and given individual attention. MH was my first choice when I was pregnant with my son, but the waiting list was so long that we had to start somewhere else. He transfered over to MH just after his 2nd birthday. He now just turned 4, and is very excited to be going into the Pre-K class soon. The school is always clean, and teachers are very attentive. Any worry I have I can always call the director, or talk to the teacher at drop off/pick up. It amazes me how much my son learns, and he always surprises me with what he is learning. The only thing I would love to see more of is a better variety of lunch food, especially veggies. He always tries new things at school, when all his friends are eating it, but I can't get him to try new things at home. But the meals are still very nutritional, and this minor thing is not enough to downgrade the rating from a 5. My son, husband, and I love MH! I always recommend it when someone asks.

The Girls' Middle School was one of the best investments we ever made. The teachers are caring and creative. It's a great environment for almost all personalities to grow and learn. Our daughter graduated in 2003 and is thriving. She is working in High Tech and living in Dublin, Ireland. She is a happy, successful and caring young adult and we attribute some of this success to GMS. Keep up the good work! -Sue

UPDATE: a school is only as good as its teachers; administration and philosophy can only take things so far of course. Emerson had two great teachers, but for whatever reason it did not re-contract with its upper elementary teacher this year. She was heading towards a decade at Emerson, universally loved by students and parents alike; a high performer, who's students transitioned into middle school effortlessly. Whatever the reason it can't be a good one, and as such I have become hesitant to recommend Emerson. The rest of my review below still applies if they can replace this star and address the administrative woes that led to her loss. Imagine a school in session the same number of days you work, and for 9 hours each day so you can drop off and pick up your child outside of work hours. And no more stringing together camps and vacations to cover school breaks designed to allow farm children time to work the harvests because the school only closes for legal holidays. Now imagine your child wants to be in school that long, and doesn't miss the breaks. Why? Perhaps they appreciate no homework, the same way you like to leave work at work. Or they don't realize the length of the day because its filled with a full curriculum, including art, music, P.E., two languages, sciences, history, and of course the core subjects. They also likely appreciate being able to advance in the core subjects at their own pace. Second grade math, fourth grade reading; wherever your child is and however they progress, Emerson's teachers will help your child learn. And progressing at their own pace means there is nothing to fall out of step with, so you take vacations whenever and for however long you want. The only thing left to wonder is why all schools are not like Emerson. 

I needed to learn Chinese for my business and have been with Tao Mandarin for 3 months now. Ms. Tao is always well prepared and has made learning Chinese fun. Highly recommend.
