We have two sons who attended Orchard school since kindergarten and both benefitted tremendously from going there. It is a magical place where students are encouraged to retain their unique creativity while learning to belong to a community. We love it!

Magic Apple is an amazing place that lives up to it's motto: "You have not live a memorable day until you have done something for someone who can not possibly repay you." All 3 of my daughters have attended Magic Apple and two of them still volunteer their time, any chance they get. They always felt that they were part of the Magic Apple family and those friendships and beliefs followed them to junior high and high school. They are confident young women who can speak in public, perform skits, run for school office, create games and activities, help younger kids and solve problems with peers. Jan taught them to love baking and Fran sparked their interest in Science. As a middle-school Principal, I wish all of my students could have attended such an amazing after-school program K-6.

Excellent Classical education. My children painlessly transferred from 8th grade to Catholic High School and felt they had an edge on their education that the other kids didn't have. Sports programs start earlier than most schools, around 4th or 5th grade. The 5th-8th grade compete in a high-level, scholastic sports leagues that competes against schools such as Sonoma Country Day School. The size of the school allows everyone to participate who would like to participate. Basketball is the main sport, but flag football, volleyball, track & field, AAU wrestling, and others, seasonally are offered. The Biblical foundation taught is unrivaled, in my opinion. My kids left understanding the Bible better than most life-long Christians understand it, and they are able to talk and share their faith in a logical, mature way. This is because of the excellent staff and the godly instruction they provide.

I've been very blessed to have my 2 children attend this school. Julia, Theodore, and Barbara are caring, engaging, fun, welcoming, sensitive, loving, intelligent - everything I want for my children. It feels like a second home to me.

Absolutely amazing school, teachers, staff and kids. We searched, probed, and visited every private school close to our area and after getting amazing result from WonderYears, Pinewood was a fantastic extension of our daughter's education. We liked that the school has very small, absolutely tiny class sizes. Each student gets almost undivided attention. When other parents were telling us there were 3 classes of 30 kids for kindergarten, our daughter had 6. We like that the kids rotate classrooms for each subject. Pinewood teaches a grade ahead. The teachers and administration are extremely responsive and quickly work to resolve any issues. I am always able to get a hold of any one at Pinewood through email or phone and they also have the same access to us. The school is a little expensive but the cost-benefit makes it worth every penny and more.

We moved our child to Los Altos Christian Schools (LACS) for his middle school/6th grade from a very good elementary school system. LACS has provided an extremely nurturing academic environment for our child. The entire staff including the Principal is very approachable and this has helped us parents collaborate well with them to ensure our child is successful in his academic pursuit. Our son is thriving in this school. Teachers use multi-modal methods to impart instruction in the classroom and this has immensely helped our child. The small class size helps the teachers better manage the class and attend to the needs of our child. The online system for communicating everything around homework, assignments, grades etc. keeps us parents stay abreast of what is happening in school/class. Our child is also being taught all the right values in life. Based on our experience, I will recommend LACS to any parent that is looking for a great middle school!

Couldn't love a school more. It's worth every penny. The curriculum is challenging, the teachers are engaging and the diversity in the student body has been wonderful to teach kids about traditions and cultures of which they may not have been familiar. It's a wonderful school.

You have to visit Peninsula School to understand the level of trees/dirt/kindness/beauty/aspirations/love that your children will carry for the rest of their lives.

This is a school for love and imagination. If you can afford it, take it.
