Private Schools

From excellent academic teaching to small class sizes, from well-trained sports teams to a variety of class trip experiences, Unity Christian High School is a great place to be. Students are challenged to think critically about their faith and learning from dedicated professional teachers.

Great school. Family-like environment. Small classes.

There are not enough wonderful things I can say about Barrie Montessori. My son has been attending this school since he was in JK, he's now in grade 4. The principal, Ms. Dawn Allen, is so incredibly passionate about her work and involvement with the school and her pure joy in the pursuit of creating a positive and safe learning environment for the children is evident every single day. Ms. Allen’s passion for our children and learning is infectious with every teacher I've ever encountered here. Every teacher in each grade has the most perfect set of skills, education, knowledge and experience required to work with each age group. Each approach is perfect. The teachers are also passionate and so full of patience and kindness for all the children. Ms. Smokler is the most amazing teacher for my son and is so incredibly talented in what she does, she is so kind and caring, and has inspired my son to really focus on his agenda and manage his time accordingly, he really enjoys being in her

awesome school you should go here

Two of my kids go to RHMS and they love it. Staff are professional, passionate and well-rounded. The school has great facilities that allows the kids to learn in a well-balanced school; academics are just as important as play time. What's even better is the security of the school so I know my children are well taken care of and safe. I definitely recommend RHMS.

Great school!

A great school

The things you need to know but will not be told. Before you pay for this school there are a few things I wish I had known. 1. It is run by a family and the staff are not Ontario certified teachers. The staff are very uncaring and supportive. It feels like the mission statement should include - "It is our goal to destroy any self confidence your child has, and any passion for learning". The actual "teaching that occurs is very limited" but made up by endless hours of homework and projects. It is very focus on independent learning with little (really no) teaching or support. 2. In my opinion most importantly, staff turn a blind eye to the bullying that occurs at this school. Students openly use racial words, slander and bully other students. There are no restrictions on their behaviours and no repercussions. 3. Finally, Staff and admin are un accountable to parents. They are "above" returning calls or emails so do not accept to receive answers or relies. PLEASE look elsewhere!

An incredibly amazing school that focuses not only in the academic excellence but also in the character shaping of boys. In tangible ways, we see the difference how the teachers bring out the best in our boys. And what's more, there is a unique partnership with parents when it comes to the educational upbringing. Good moral values, virtues and kindness are reminded daily, lived and practiced. A dynamic community that one will just be proud to be a part of, as I am.

I agree with some of the recent reviewers. This school is impressive LOOKING................ As the reviewer below notes, the loss of France accreditation is devastating.

Timothy Christian School is more than I even imagined it would be. At TCS my kids are loves, accepted, encouraged and educated. The teachers are amazing, beyond amazing! They go above and beyond everyday for the children. TCS is centred in Christ and it is very obvious, in every subject, through every project and just the way the school is run. After 5 years in the school I can't imagine sending my kids anywhere else. It isn't just a school it is a community of loving and supportive families. I am so thankful for Timothy Christian School and the foundation they are helping me form for my children!
