Looking to paddle? We would highly recommend Ridge Wilderness Adventures. Last summer, we had the pleasure of participating in one of the Ridge Wilderness Adventures moving water canoe courses. This 2 day program was absolutely fantastic. The Ridge Staff team were a pleasure to deal with. April, the office Manager, was extremely professional and worked hard to find a program that best fit our availability. Our instructor was patient, fun and taught the course in a way that met the individual learning styles of our group. We learned a variety of skills and gained confidence throughout the weekend. Went here for my bachelor party. Loved it. Reading was super fun, staff was friendly and helpful. Food was okay, not exceptional but certainly quite good considering the numbers they are feeding.

I booked a trip to Italy with this agency on March 2017 and very much regret it. The booking was made 3 months in advance in order to give myself plenty of time to deal with any loose ends, of which there seemed to be none. Then on the day of my departure I was turned away at the airport because although my passport was valid for another 2 months, it wasn't valid for 3 months after my departure date from Italy. I had no idea there were passport restrictions traveling from Canada to Italy. The agent never mentioned a thing although we had extended e mail and phone conversations. To make matters worse this all happened on a sunday. The agent did her best to rectify the situation, but there wasnt much she could do. I incurred costs of $1200, had to re book and cancel half my trip. The owner Lisa Dimakis , was rude and dismissive when I asked to be reimbursed for the added expenses I incurred. It took her over a week to return my e mail; I never one got an apology. Horrible experience. and dealing with Lisa was like rubbing salt in a wound.

Awesome travel agency however they have failed to adopt modern practices such as email.

We did our tour on July 6th. It was an amazing time. We had Terry as a guide and he was great. Terry was very knowledgeable about the area, the wine and was also a lot of fun. Awesome pace to the day. The wineries were amazing and it was nice that Terry gave us some options on what we wanted to do during the spare time. I would recommend Distinctly Kelowna to anyone looking to see some local wineries. Thanks, James, Sam, Shane and Roks
