Trustee in Bankruptcy

Licenced Trustee promised I would be able to apply for OSAP to upgrade work qualifications during the proposal. Two years into the Consumer Proposal I was in a college program and needed access to OSAP. I was told to contact my trustee. He ducked my calls for two weeks. When he finally spoke to me he said he had no intention of helping me with the required support he had promised. He told me I had 2 options: keep making my payments on time or don't; and that my creditors would come after me and sue me. This was a complete reversal from his assurances prior to my signing the consumer proposal. This callous dishonesty in practice kept me from accessing even an emergency loan from the college. I was unable to pay my second semester tuition. This trustee was meant to help me, instead he torpedoed my life with his lack of integrity. I was also required to travel to Belleville a couple of times as Kingston is a satellite office. If it happened to me, it could happen to you. I'm sure there are honest trustees out there, all I know for sure is that there is a dirty one in this bunch.

Stay away, especially if you are a small business owner. Do not believe their words. They will gouge you and will not provide any answers when you ask for clarification of their work.

Very friendly and straightforward. Lisa Maurice is amazing. She made the process very easy to understand with no pressure. Very down to earth people who treated me with the utmost respect. I would highly recommend these people to anyone.

I was hesitant to call Doyle and Salewski's office as I was afraid of being judged. By the time I picked up the phone and made the call, the creditors were calling at all times of the day and night demanding to be paid, and treating me like a criminal. I was ashamed and that shame prevented me from taking action when I should have. The day I finally summoned the courage to make that call, Dorothy's kind voice greeted me with kindness and understanding. She treated me like a human being. she explained what my choices were so that when I met with my counsellor, I felt like I was finally regaining control of my life. I am back on the right track. The only regret I have, is not having done this earlier. Thank you for everything you've done for me.

Had them assist me in 2004, moved out of province and called many, many times and constantly got the run around (hung up on, claiming they don’t know what I’m talking about, all has been taken care of, confused as it was always a rotation of new staff, someone will call me back, the files been closed, there’s no longer any files on the matter, etc) as I had a settlement I included for the duration with them. They continued to take the settlement and avoid my contact even after all was completed and I paid them in good standing always. When I moved back to the area I went in to see them and they questioned me, asked me for the documentation of such for proof and asked me questions like, I was a criminal and didn’t take me seriously. Terrible opportunists taking advantage of people in their time of need. Ironic they never had any issues with consistently collecting my money!

They have solved the misunderstanding from the previous 1 star rating I had given them! I am thankful for their efforts in sorting this out.

Very Professional, Very Understanding and Above All Very Kind Hearted Team! First time I went there I felt like a complete Loser to say the least!!! After discussing in details with Happy-go-Lucky Louise I felt 90% of my anxiety immediately gone! No word of a lie I smiled and laughed all the way home!!

Ginsberg & Gingras do not tell you the truth and take more money from you then you know. This happened to a friend of mine, they lied and took money they said they would not touch, So to summarize, LIARS and THIEVES. And i can prove it if they want to take me to court, and if so the Medias will also be made aware of this. I also know a 2nd person who was taken for more then $2000.00 by G&G.
