Damir and Don basically charge mid price for the job and hire hacks. I've had my basement waterproofed by them a while back, they showed up a week later than they said they would. The job took a week longer than it was originally supposed to without any surprises once the concrete was broken. A year later, water entered my basement. When they did the job, my floor drain was covered up, which I've learned was a no no. It took a bit of complaining and threatening to bring Damir back but eventually he did. Damir was dismissive (to me about the floor drain) but his contractor (who I could tell has had enough of him at that point) corrected him in front of me. Once the cement was broken to correct the floor drain, it was revealed that duct tape was used to attach the weeping tile to our floor drain. Damir was defensive, went on a tangent and was incoherent when me, my wife and the contactor called him out on it. Damir then tried to find something wrong with our plumbing and said it would cost us $1000 to fix it. Damir was still insisting that the guys that did the job were pros and they knew what they were doing. I've said enough, it got worse. Bottom line is, general contractors are a dime a dozen in the GTA. They brag about being around since 1957. They are a relic of 1957.

Called Silvano Waterproofing to damp proof the basement foundations of my home. They are the best contractors I've ever dealt with. Not only did they perform the work efficiently...they also were at a discount to other companies I called. Guaranteed, I will definitely call them again for other work, and highly recommend them. I would rate them 10 stars if I could.

Not sure if my experience qualifies to write a review about, but here goes... Our foundation wall between the house and garage looks awful. It appears to be buckling under the weight of the house, cracked and bulging out at several places. Mike from OSRS came out and spent a lot of time inspecting and tapping it with his hammer. Turns out that all that apparent damage is entirely superficial. After chipping some of it away, he revealed a solid foundation underneath. Anyway, he said no repair was needed and refused to give us a quote. Another contractor wanted to charge us $11,000 for an unnecessary repair. Thank-you OSRS!

This winter has been one of ups and downs with weather extremes from deep freezes to thaws. During one of the recent thaws we noticed some water coming in the back foundation wall in the furnace room. Unsure what to we decided we needed to research the issue more. The more we researched the more confused we got. It became clear we needed to get it fixed sooner than later. So I went on the better business bureau and looked for companies that repaired foundation leaks.We noticed that Bol Dan had a high bbb rating A+ and had been in business for over 28 years. We called them and I’m sure when we left the message we were frantic. They called back promptly and came to access the leak the same day. We were told we needed to remove some drywall and two by fours and call back. We did and 3 days later they came to fix the leak. Geatin came and fixed the leak. He was quite calm and knowledgeable and was very skilled which was quite apparent when I watched him work. I am quite certain that if he didn’t come in and fix the leak when he did we would have sustained damage.Here is what I learned from this whole ordeal. Water once it finds its way into your house through a crack will only get worse don’t wait get it fixed asap. You need to find a company you can trust and one that has experience doing these types of repairs. I would recommend Bol Dan and have to a number of friends and family members who have had similar issues. The service they provided to me and my family was worth every penny.

Had this company do waterproofing around my home following the Ottawa floods. Great group of guys, professional, knew what they were doing, answered all my questions thoroughly, overall I have no complaints. I would recommend them to anyone who has issues with a wet basement.

Not very clean! packages are all ripped open and on the floor nobody seems to work there when you need somebody to help you

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Lack of communication! Had to reschedule twice and they still did not arrive to get the job done! Took two days off work to accommodate to their availbility, only to not have them show up twice! Did not receive a courtesy call to explain why they did not show up, had to call them myself. extremely unprofessional, non hospitable and would not recommend. I would rather pay a couple hundred extra to another company that values/respect their customers and actually arrive to do the job!

I've sold my house and decided to write a quick review of the work Rite-Way did for me. I never thought a dry basement in a wet area would have such an effect on me, but it did. I never had water in my basement when I purchased my house back in 2005. Fast forward a handful of years later and the water table started to rise and my basement started flooding with .5" of water. This was a finished basement so can imagine how much damage this did. I'll admit, I was fairly desperate to correct the issue so I didn't do a lot of research of the numerous companies offering water proofing services. I went with the company that would be able to do it the quickest, Rite-Way was able to get me on the books same week and promise me a 1 day completion. They installed a perimeter drain system with sump pump in a single day. Everything went as promised. It was simple and fast. Fast forward to 2018 and I can confirm I've never seen a drop of water bypass their drain tile system. Torrential downpours, extreme snow melt...not a drop of water in the basement. Thank you Rite-Way.
