Camp

Stayed for 2 nights, July 2 + 3/18, while passing through the area. Large, open area in which there are RV, travel trailer, tent, and seasonal sites. I liked: very clean comfort station with 1 flush toilet, 2 showers, and 3 sinks; virtually no bugs (bug zappers located in part of the campground); cut grass; new water taps at the site we had; 30 amp, water and sewer; new playground for kids; water of Lake Temiskaming abuts against the property; you can swim, but that end of the lake is shallow and the water is brown with silt when windy. Friendly and very accommodating staff and owner. WiFi worked where we were camped (site 91). WiFi also available outside office area. Would stay again.

I have been camping here since i was just a baby and now i take my own kids. Whether its a family getaway or a weekend away with friends, clayton lake always delivers ! The owners are like family and the seasonals are always extremely friendly. The beach is a great place for kids and they have a park.. The boat launch is nice and efficient and the fishing is always great !! Ive caught my personal best bass on this lake at a whopping 5pnds !!! I could never reccomend this place enough !!

We have been coming to Kittawa since 2003 and now have a seasonal site. We have had the experience of both the previous owners and now the new owners. Although the previous owners were set in their ways and sometimes hard to deal with, all in all the were nice people. The new owners (Joel & Joanne ) are wonderful people and have put their heart and soul into bringing the Campground back to life. A day doesn't go by without seeing up-grades being done. The infrastructure was in dire need of up-dating and they have spent countless dollars and time doing just that. Both of us are serving members of the Military and have travelled from BC to NFLD and camped the entire way and we must say that Kittawa is one of the nicest campground we have stayed at. Being a seasonal camper we have the advantage of seeing many weekend campers come and go and we are always so impressed on the positive comments and feed backs we hear from them. Yes, there is the odd unhappy camper but every Campground has rules and regulations and if you follow them your stay at Kittawa will be without a doubt a wonderful stay. Amazing camp! Tons of activities for kids. Great place to learn about nature and caring for the environment. You want to go back every year because it's such a fabulous adventure. Very well supervised. High accreditation standings

Here for the joint concert of Montreal Youth Symphony Orchestra, Towson university Orchestra and Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra. The auditorium is beautiful.
