Camp

We had a very negative experience here. The park attendant is a lunatic who will steal your money for the weekend then harrass you and have you promptly evicted for no reason. ANYWHERE else is better than Coal Lake. In 20 + years of camping i have never had such a bad experience. We checked in and that evening at 1110 two of us were quietly sitting by the fire visiting. When the attendant creeped around our site it made our dogs bark so he asked us to put them inside so we did. He then happened to notice we had music quietly playing on our cell phone beside the fire, he told us we werent allowed music. We said it was quiet why does it have to be off? He said its the rules its sleep time at 11. He then proceeded to call the rcmp who drove out to our site and noted there was nothing wrong. At 330 the next day after we returned from work he had two peace officer vehicles come out to evict us. This is the same scenario that was reported 5 days ago. I wish i had seen the comment before and never checked in. It was absolutely rediculous and should have never happened. This park manager abuses his authority and needs to be gone.

If you want workers that will be miserable everyday at work, then let them stay here.

This is a good place to get a screw in your tire...two flats in two weeks.

Me and one of my best friends went here for our first solo camping trip. LOVED IT. The trails, the lake, the beach, the wildlife... at night frogs COVER the path. Also when there’s no clouds in the sky, you get a beautiful view of the stars. Going again this summer! Try the onion rings!!!

This place is just beautiful and peaceful. Just off the lake. The ppl are nice and friendly and very polite. Golfing and a restaurant with amazing food and a great spread for the buffet. Kid friendly beach. Docks and boating, Indoor pool and hot tube.

This place is great. Beautiful setting, peaceful, great place to relax and get out of the city. You can rent kayaks and canoes as well! Will definitely be going back very soon!

Fun trails for atv'ing, glad to see maps and improved signage have been added.

It's a great place to chill on the weekends and holidays, there's a pool, arcade, crazy Canada day party that includes fireworks, a parade and much more. This place is a campground for trailers and cabins.

Campground is fantastic. Great setup for kids and super friendly staff. Was really looking forward to getting in the water, but the lake is gross and unsuitable for swimming or wading.

Limited trees. Some very nice sites. Nice hiking.

Stayed here while visiting Watertown Lakes National Park since most campgrounds in the park are closed due to the 2017 fire. Staff was friendly. Sites were reasonably spaced and the campground was quiet. Facilities are a little aged but appeared clean.
