Flooring

Full sun, warm and clear with a cool breeze brought out a good portion of people to the Newport News Lowe's today. Everyone was buying up the fully stocked garden supplies, plants and mulch. It was so nice looking with the bright sun, blue sky and various colors of the plants.

Jeff's Hardwood Floors promised to stand behind his work. So I paid him before the job was dry and could walk on the area to inspect the finish product. I requested him to repair some drips on the handrails and he replied that he would return a week from Monday. Monday came and he requested to come on Friday. Friday came and he said he couldn't come then either. Then all communications were not responded to. This was a hardship because I live about 4 Hours away from the job. I also noticed some spots on the floor that I found had some small pebbles in the finish which I hoped to have remedied at the same time. After I tried to call several times with no response. I texted him many times with no success. In addition to not returning they damaged my new house closet door with the sanded. My wife tried to contact him by text and he did give her the name of the polyurethane. I felt that he was paid in good faith and of course would make it all right. So as a result of working with them under these circumstances I would urge all future customers of hardwood floor services to find someone else to hire.

I love the place

Horrible! I called to inquire initially about the purchase of carpet squares for a local Elementary school. Spoke with the owner, and when I later asked if any could be donated he hung up, twice! His reasoning was "these schools are cheap, too many schools and teachers keep calling and asking" I could have gladly paid for as many as financially allowable, but to have such poor customer service via the phone for an inquiry is disheartening, especially from a local, city supported business. The disrespect of being hung up on twice, tells me everything I need to know about this company and their opinions of advocates for educators, and their lack of support of community. I will not support this business, nor will I encourage anyone to do so.

Very nice selection in the garden department today staff was helpful and courteous. They had a nice spring sale going on in the garden department.
