Flooring

This was our third time to use the services of K & W Interiors. They previously installed wood flooring and remodeled our master bathroom. This time we updated our kitchen with new counters, backsplash and sink. We’ve learned not to be in a hurry when doing remodeling. It takes time to plan, measure, select materials, order them, receive them, schedule the work and complete the work. It took a couple of months to get the preparation work done, but the actual install was only four days. And we’re very happy with the end result. We like to use the services of K&W because they carry quality products that look great and last a long time. Their contractors are skilled, friendly and easy to work with. We have an idea of what we want, but the choices are overwhelming. Our K&W consultant helped us narrow down the choices to what would work and let us choose with confidence knowing that it would look great. There are cheaper options if you want to save some money, but we feel like you get what you pay for and we’d rather our house reflect that.

The customer service is wonderful! They called the company to make sure we could get the flooring I chose before we ordered it. They even let me take home the flooring sample for a week.

My wife and I could not be happier with our new hardwood floor. It is truly beautiful and amazing to come home to. The installation was flawless and on-schedule with all the discussions prior to construction and the originally budgeted numbers were in-fact what we paid for the work. AMAZING! They deserve 10 stars! So I bought a whole setup from Lowe's and ordered it and the whole nine yards well they forgot to order a cabinet. They made me so mad that I Googled Builders Bargains and I went over there and was greeted by a young girl who turned out to be one of the owner's daughters. She was nice and attentive and showed me everything that I needed and asked for including prices. I then met Amanda (owner) who gave me a total quote on everything. Not only was this setup exactly what I wanted in the first place but it was in stock which meant I didn't have to wait 8 weeks.(woohoo). The best part is they saved me a ton of money even with the hardware. Amanda is AMAZING and I will be returning for all of my remodel needs. I suggest you do the same. Thank you so much for making everything so easy. It was also alot of fun to cancel my lowes order and spend my money on an Alaskan owned business.

These guys totally saved my project! I was doing a DIY room renovation, and I couldn't find anyone to help me re-install the old carpet (which was in great shape). I was in a huge time crunch, and less than 24 hours after I initially contacted them, Eastside carpet had the job finished, and it looks great! Much more flexible and customer-oriented than any of the other stores I contacted.

Larry is BY FAR thee #1 tile setter across the state, touching every corner of Alaska and everything in between. He has been in the tile business here in Alaska for over 30 years, and has been apart of the construction in a great number of governmental/ international, educational, business, and other public establishments; and a fair share of residential properties. For whatever it is you wanted installed or remodeled, Larry Wissing @ REPTILE is the guy for the job.

Received a reasonable $1500 initial quote for an average size rental kitchen countertop from Vittoria, so I put 50% down for the job thinking they were honest and would get the job done in that price range. I was sadly mistaken when they came back with an outrageous final estimate of over $2500. Then when I disputed the $75 measuring charge with the credit card company a representative from AK Countertops whom I had never dealt with had the audacity to make several false claims in a letter defending their charges to the credit card company. I have never dealt with as dishonest an Alaskan (or any) company as this and definitely won't use them again. It's too bad I have to give them one star.

My wife and I purchased a home in Bay Shore that had not been remodeled since 1976. We hired Cornerstone Remodel & Design to do the kitchen and bathrooms, flooring, paint the interior, windows and lighting. They stayed on budget and were very creative in developing solutions to problems that were encountered during the remodel. I personally did not think it would be done in the eight weeks that the project manager stated, but it was completed in that time frame and we are very happy with our new home.
