We chose Active Door to install Richards Wilcox garage doors. Initially had set a meeting, salesperson missed the meeting. Reluctantly chose Active to install garage doors, both openers were installed backwards, communicated with the owner about our concerns on May 15th, never heard back.

Normally people post reviews for work done, but in this particular case I am posting a review for work that was commit to be done, but last minute turned down. I was referred to this company by a business acquaintance located in Toronto. I called the company and proceeded to make a deal for a garage door opener to be installed. There was not haggling over price of item or service, however their issue was the entry to the building to open the garage door as the man door was blocked. I told them that we can either break a window or I would have someone go to the property and break into my building or shop and gain access to the work on the garage door. All settled, I just needed to get the size of the door to order the correct parts. I took day off on Friday measured the door as agreed and called their office 3 times, left messages with no response. Finally after insisting on waiting on line for some time an employee named Jason came on the phone and said after discussion with Ross (owner I presume) they did not want the job after all. My issue with Canadoor is that I took the day off work, traveled 126 k/m's to measure the door, price agreed, installation set for Monday Nov 6th and in the afternoon of Friday they changed their mind. In essence this is a company that wasted and delayed a week where I could have contracted another local merchant. A company that does not have the back bone to follow through with the commitments or does not have the courage to let you know the change of plans and has wasted my time is not worthy of my business. I would give them a 0 star rating, but of course that is not an option. I will never do business with this company, those considering may want to re-think their decision or involvement

Had to call them as we had an issue with the garage door. Called in AM and they were able to make it same day. Service Tech they sent was fantastic, answered my questions and actually did some realignment on door so it opens and closes smoother then it ever had! Five Star treatment! Highly recommend!!

I recently sought the help of Ancaster Garage Door Repair when our door started to make an annoying sound. The serviceman who arrived educated us on how to prevent that from happening again, and then he proceeded with the inspection. He found out that it was due to a bad spring. He informed me that it was caused by a defective spring. I jumped for joy the moment I heard its normal sound after he made the necessary repairs.

I found it odd that our garage door would close and then open again after a few minutes. I contacted Guelph Garage Door Repair Pros to check on the problem. It turned out that there was an extension pulley problem that can only be addressed by experts. The technician was able to resolve the issue by replacing the cables attached to the pulley and tightening the screws. Our door was working perfectly again after that!

I cannot say enough about Sam. He is fantastic!!!!!! I called him and he came the same day to price replacing my very very old garage door. It was a difficult job but Sam took it on. He did a great job and I’m over the moon happy with how it turned out. He gave us a great price and did excellent work. Thank you so much Sam you are a saint 😀😀😀😀
