We just took possession of our new home and we couldn’t be happier. From our initial meeting to when we received the keys last Friday, homes by us has more than delivered on their promise to build a beautiful home for our family. I had heard stories from others about how building can be stressful and how things go wrong but our experience was all positive. The initial meetings, choosing the home and settling a contract were fun and exciting for us. The process of building through their design centre was also excellent, they gave us so much time and care and were brilliant at guiding our decisions so the house achieved a real consistent design flow. They worked with us and didn’t just take orders, they gave us advice and direction. We had some ideas about a basement bar and media space for example but with their help we got a dream bar and media room instead! The whole house is better than we imagined and we couldn’t be happier. And all of this delivered well ahead of our expected possession date . Now that’s it finished we’re almost sad it’s over and will definitely miss working with them. Very much recommend this company!

Green Life Homes uses the best building materials and technology on the market. When you walk in their homes you will see the quality products and trades they use. But the real quality is what you dont see. Inside the Walls, Attics, Foundation. Im sure Terry or Sheldon would be more than happy to give you the real information.

Avoid by all means. They are a manipulative, lying, and a deceiving company. Once they get their money they leave your house incomplete and ignore your calls. We moved into our house in November 2017 and today is July 2018 yet, we still don’t have our front nor back yard complete. Side of the house is not safe to enter or exit from because it’s also incomplete. This company is not even worth one star rating.

Point Design Homes advertised a new home for sale located at 607 3rd Ave NE Calgary. They informed me that the parkade was not completed however a minimum deposit of $30,000 would secure the selling price of the home as they expected the market to increase. I entered a legal contract with Japant Brar and Raj Chalal (Alberta lawyer) with the intent to purchase the home. Shortly after moving into the property I had issues with ventilation and lack of insulation between my unit and the adjoining unit. I discussed with the City of Calgary and was informed that the house was built 10 years ago and has failed multiple inspections. The house was not given an occupancy permit and these builders took my money knowing full well that the house was not habitable ! Raj Chalal and Japant Brar rented the other units as an air bnb throughout the past 3 years without an occupancy permit and knowing that the home did not pass fire inspection ! I gave these crooks $90000 in total. Run@

Update: I do not recommend moving into a Battistella property if you are sensitive to footsteps and hearing everything that drops from the unit above. I am an owner in one of their buildings and have been struggling to get the board to take action against an AirBnB above causing non stop impact noises. Battistella was too cheap to put in proper insulation to the flooring and because of the concrete floors anytime someone walks (god help you if someone is running) your unit has a mini earthquake. They fined the unit upstairs twice which I don't think they actually did as the owners been very unhelpful. If you want to buy a Battistella unit please come visit my unit at Colors and within a few minutes you will see the sort of non stop migraine inducing vibrations your neighbours upstairs will cause you. Normal condo boards fix this by enforcing their condo bylaws as city bylaws do not cover this stuff. Not a Battistella one.

Entered into a 'design only' agreement with Aquarian in September 2019. I paid a little over $10,000. We discussed the budget and proceeded. A little over a year later the estimate arrived and it was almost twice what we had originally discussed. There were lots of problems after this. Reviewing the estimate, I saw the cost for new cabinets was around $52k. I asked them to get a competitive quotation and they refused. The construction drawings had dimension errors on them, sent an email and asked them to correct it, no response. These were right off the RPR supplied a year earlier. The building permit was rejected by the City because the design did not meet zoning requirements, sent an email and asked Aquarian to fix them, no response. And it went on and on, issues with asbestos removal, blank checks written into the scope of the contract, more issues than I have the space to list them all. At the end Aquarian sent me an email and informed me that they were ‘closing my file’ due to ‘

Been dealing with mike for a few years now. Awesome guy to deal with, every time I walk into one of their finished homes it looks astonishing. Thumbs up for the designers, the trades, the workmanship and anyone else who participates.

I have been fortunate enough to be a client of Stonewater Homes. They take pride in everything they do. From their professional management of the overall project to the trades that complete the custom work, I am constantly amazed at how well they do it. I only wish everyone could have their home built by Stonewater. Thanks again!
