Friendly staff

My mom receives compassionate care from the wonderful caregivers. I like that this home is slightly overstaffed to what government regulations at set at. The staff is doing its best and is constantly trying to keep up with the needs of the residents. (note to self: petition to the government for more staff in nursing homes NOW and ....BEFORE I get to a nursing home :) ) There is a good variety of activities going on all the time. We love the two courtyards with beautiful landscaping and mature trees. I will mention that meals need more dark green vegetables and more variety in the menu. There also needs to be 2 to 3 more computers set up somewhere in the building now that the computer room has been dismantled to make a library ( Then I could have easier access to engage my mother in skype with her distant relatives, if there is internet access and show my mom emails sent to her from her sister in B.C.). Otherwise Westmount Gardens is a great nursing home for my mother.

In my eyes one of the best organizations in this area that offer homecare to people with needs.

Staff is always friendly...very clean and my Grandmother enjoyed her stay here. She had hoped for a few more activites but overall ver pleasant.

It's Home. A place to call home and feel at home. Masonville Manor is full of warmth, care and fun. Our seniors in residence are my extended family. Our team has a sincere passion and respect to make everyday life meaningful for everybody!

My father lives here right now, I enjoy the staff although he doesn't at times his dementia is really getting bad. I just wish the government would hire more psws for each floor would make it so much better. Our aging parent's deserve to have more one on one time spent with them amd have the PSW's not so burnt out that they begin to fall apart n abuse can occur sometimes. Also would be good if the home could be updated it needs it.

My grandmother is a resident and overall its a nice place. Its very outdated but honestly, its fairly clean looking so I can't ask for much more. The single rooms are large and you can add a personal touch so it feels a little like a home. The PSW's are GODS. I have SUCH respect and adoration for each PSW that walks into my grandmothers room. They are often short staffed and overworked but they hustle and bustle each day and often with a smile on their face and they really get to know each resident. The food is terrible (both looking and from what my grandmother tells me) so whenever I visit her I always make a point to bring home cooked meals and book the lovely dining room downstairs. Overall, could use some updating but they take care of my grandmother and I can't ask for anything else than that.

Nice cozy place

Very friendly staff and service, a lot of activities at this place for seniors living here, had my aunt living here for many years and visited her many times and stayed for supper with her, even brought her outside to walk the grounds with her, a very friendly beautiful place to live there, also had clients that moved in there too and joined them for meals. This place is so close to everything and walking distance to a lot of the stores and entertainment, highly recommend this place for seniors
