I discovered TVT through UCI in January 2017, and I'm glad that I decided to continue training with them. I started out as a white belt, and, after training at the studio during the summer, I am currently a brown belt. Originally, I wasn't going to pursue a black belt, but I talked to the masters and they were able to customize a training program for me to be able to achieve it by the time I graduate in June 2018. I also like how considerate they are in knowing that I am a college student with limited funds, so they do provide payment installments. Training at the studio was different compared to the UCI Arc setting, but it was still fun! I got to take class with kids and adults of all ages, and it just goes to show how applicable and doable this sport is for everyone. I also like how they rotate the schedule every week for sparring, boxing, and weapons. They understand that keeping the activities on certain days only means that some people will constantly miss the chance to practice. So, by rotating, nothing is static and everyone has a chance to attend these activities. Definitely love the TVT app too since I can easily check what the agenda is for the class of that day. Moreover, what I love about TVT is that it's more than a business. It's family. You will come into contact with each master and instructor at least once during your time here, and they all strive to make you feel welcome. It could be through a simple hello or them personally teaching you a new poomse move. Just know that if you invest in TVT, you come out with a higher belt and so much more. I've found a new family of friends through taekwondo, and these relationships are the ones I tend to keep well into the future. Plus, I gained more confidence in performing in front of others and lots of wisdom from our Grandmaster. I hope to continue his legacy by encouraging more UCI students to join once the quarter begins. Thank you for helping me to become a better student and just a stronger person overall!

Just recently signed up my 4 kids. And I’m so glad they all enjoy coming here after 2 weeks! Having a big family, it’s hard to find an activity that all the kids want to participate! Thank you BJJ team for creating a hard working and fun environment for kids to work out!

I have been training at Kokkikan Dojo for over two years now and have never felt better. Sensi Jared Sato is living his passion and shows in class. Jared's total lack of a macho ego is very refreshing as this attitude has turned me off martial arts practices before. Jared also has a deep knowledge of the human body and movement which is a huge benefit in practice. I would highly recommend this Dojo for anyone who is looking for a martial arts practice.

This is the best BJJ school!!! My son has been here for almost 5 years. The coaches are very nice and approachable, Coach Alex always conduct kids classes with focus on technique and discipline combined with playful and friendly environment. And that makes the kids not wanting to miss any classes. This makes kids' journey on learning jiu-jitsu much easier. Teaching jiu-jitsu is one of the hardest thing to teach, especially for kids, and not all black belt and not all champions can teach it. But Coach ALEX can REALLY TEACH (even kids)!! Whether you're looking to learn self-defense, or for fitness or even going for competition. The coaches know how to make you reach your goals. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.

Master Amsler is the toughest of Kwanjanim out there! He can whip anyone into TaeKwonDo doing, butt kicking shape! Legend has it he once saves an entire family in Fountain Valley by doing a flying side kick through the second story wall of a burning house. He once challenged a man to staring contest. His opponent is now blind. Anyone under him knows that "the biggest room in the world, is the room for improvement" but anyone who tries to challenge him will soon realize... They need a bigger room!

I've been training here for more than a year now and I have to say, I love it! The training is great, the classes are the perfect balance of fun and challenge, and the people here are super calm, collected, and cool. I'm always excited to go to class, and the days in the week that I go vary because the schedule is very flexible. We even hang out after class because your classmates are like a second family. I go to classes with my sister and my dad. 5/5
