The ATA BlackBelt Academy of Virginia is THE best TKD school we have attended. We have been involved in TKD off and on for many years however did not ever think we would find one that would accommodate our special needs son. Until we met Mrs Wargo. Chief Master and Mrs Wargo are amazing people and outstanding instructors. We can't say enough good things about the school.

This class is awesome. Really teaches kids they can have fun, and listen at the same time. My son loves this class. He has learned so much, from how to count in a different language, to manners, listening to instructions. It really is great all around..

After moving to a new home in 2011 and training BJJ for a couple of years, I decided to stop-by Tidewater BJJ in order to find a new place to train. What a great decision.... Jonathan and Dan are fantastic instructors/people and their facility is top notch. I started at their academy as an experienced blue belt and felt like a new white belt when rolling with the guys at the academy.... The technique they teach and the manner in which they teach it are exemplary, and you really get a feel that they care about your progress and try to explain things multiple ways in case sometimes you just aren't getting it. Both Dan and Jonathan kicked by rear-end every time we were on the mat, but it was great being tested by such high caliber instructors. Yes, they don't just teach, but they get on the mat and roll with you regularly.... Not many BJJ instructors do that week-in and week-out. I left Tidewater early in 2013 as a new purple belt, but not because I wanted to. I am a member of the US Navy and had to leave because of a new duty station. If not for that, I definitely would still be training there. Great Academy, Great Instructors, Great People, and Great Training. Continued success to Tidewater BJJ.... you guys earned it. ~Cliff

This place has been worth every penny, the 6 week challenge, challenges your mind and nutrition. They lay everything out for you to give you the best chance of success for your personal goals.

Best experience I've ever had in my life. This gym has a great coach and teacher who knows what he's doing. He has given me confidence and skill I never thought I had. This gym can change your life if you just work for it.

I highly recommend going to the school King Tiger Martial Arts (chesapeake). My son now raises his head held high with confidence and a good fitness workout . He built his stamina up and is now very flexible . The intructors and staff have made us feel like family. They have taught my son much respect and discipline. My only regrets is not coming here sooner !

This place is great and I say that for many reasons, but before I go on with this review, I have to give you 2 warings: 1. Jiu jitsu is very addicting, 2. if you and up training here you are not just joining a sport , your joining a family ( a funny and very weird family, pictures provided below as proof) the teachers and fellow students provide an atmosphere that makes learning easy and fun, while being challenged at the same time. everyone here does a very excellent job of leaving their ego at the door and just training for the art and self. Before I started here I shopped around and I chose this gym because it had many of the qualities I was looking for: 1. it's a good and (very clean) gym 2. no limit to training. If there is a Jiu Jitsu class (that you qualify to be in, which was way more classes than i thought) you can participate. 3. You get a REALLY nice Gi (uniform) when you sign up 4. They have a seperate Judo class (included) 5. Legit (proven) self defence techniques. Gi and no gi training 6. The Professor: Ricardo Tubbs(head instructor) was taught directly by a Gracie. If you are familiar with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, its kind of a big deal =] 7. Hosted amazing seminars with Top Jiu Jitsu people from all over (ie Royce Gracie just to name one.) Needless to say I highly recommend this place, if your considering starting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu you should check Da Firma Training Center.(DTC).

This is the first an only martial arts academy I've been to. There was no need to go anywhere else. I spent 7 great years at this school and it is truly a family. From knowledgeable, experienced coaches to a relaxed learning atmosphere, whatever the desire to learn is, Global has a place for you. You'll get to know everyone by name and develop relationships with these folks for the rest of your life! I've learned so much about myself as a person by being around such great people. It is extremely diverse in gender, race and age; which to me shows that all people from all walks of life are accepted and are working towards the same goals of becoming better martial artists by becoming better people. I cannot say enough good things about the great people here, the respect they have for each other and the students. Truly a family. Although I've relocated, Global will always be home!!!

My son and I love this place, so many good things about Bushido! I wanted my 10 year old son to learn two of the best martial arts for self-defense, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Awesome, both are taught at Bushido by experienced instructors and they also teach wrestling. The instructors make the classes so fun that he didn't even realize he was learning self-defense skills all while getting a really good workout. After training in other striking martial arts, I realized my ground/grappling game needed a lot of help; so I too started training at Bushido taking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu several times a week. We both have been training for 5 months and have forged many new friendships. Many people think these schools are full of arrogant tough guys. Well, they are full of tough guys, along with tough women, tough boys, and tough girls; however, none of them are arrogant. They are just everyday people trying to better themselves by exercising and learning effective self-defense.

My teenaged son has autism and had been away from karate for several years. The staff approached me to ask how they could best make my son comfortable. Everyone has been kind and respectful. My son looks forward to going to each class!

The best martial arts school! I tried out another dojos and nothing compares to savior martial arts! the instructors care for each and every student that walks on the mat! They know all 300 students by name! they invest in each and every student and want them all to be the best in all parts of their lives! Savor Martial arts taught me so many life lessons AND DEFINATLY made me the person I am today! I have seen God use this dojo in awesome ways! This is the best way to learn martial arts because you do not walk away just being a successful martial artist, you walk away prepared to face anything life throughs at you. Going to savor martial arts is one of th best things that will happen to you!

This place is awesome my daughter loves the classes and it helps her to gain confidence and strength.

This school offers excellent instruction for children and adults in a wide range of fighting styles while keeping a friendly and personal atmosphere. I really love training here!
