Kaizen has helped me a lot through out the time I spend training there. Both the striking and grappling coaches are very experienced trainers and all around good people.

In my experience, Aikido is the most refined, graceful, powerful and effective of the martial arts. Ki aikido, in particular, provides its students with the skills to take control of a situation and resolve it with virtually no effort. It is also the rare martial art that works for anyone, regardless of size, gender or age.

My beautiful wife and I have been taking our boys here for over a year. We are so pleased with how Grand Master Park runs his school and works with our children. The other instructors, Andy and Mineva, are extremely professional and kind as well. We highly recommend this school.

We love Kwon's Champion School Centreville! Great teachers and all have a great sense about them. They teach not only martial arts but respect and focus and all follow similar teaching techniques. We also love the warm and welcoming staff, my family always feels comfortable here. I'd recommend anyone who is considering it to come and check it out!

This is a great martial art class for adults and kids alike. Jake is a dedicated teacher with a passion for what he does. Highly recommended!

My sister goes there and she loves it

We tried a few other local Tai Kwan Do places for our kids, but they were really just day care places with a little karate thrown in for fun. If that's what you want, avoid VAMAI. If you want your kids to actually learn tai Kwan do and the discipline that goes with it, this is the place. Master T and her team are the real deal. They take discipline seriously and really hold the kids to a legitimate standard. Both of my kids love classes there and I feel they are really learning something. It takes longer to progress in belts, but that's because they really *earn* them. I can't speak highly enough about VAMAI. The staff is great with the kids and are genuinely nice people who love what they do. It's apparent from the minute you walk in the door.

Having met and spoken with other wushu athletes and their families from across the country, the Omei school has established a reputation as one of the best wushu schools in the country. People from NJ, NY, MA, and MD come to this VA school to train. I have met people from the west coast who are trying to arrange a “vacation” to the area so their child can train at this school. Sifu Lu is an acknowledged expert in the field. She has an eagle eye that can catch and correct the smallest detail. This is what makes her students so formidable at competitions. There is a big difference between the beginner and advance classes. The students tend to be younger in the beginning class. They enjoy tag much more and actually get more of a work out than if they were just running laps to warm up. The school wants the children to enjoy wushu and they do. The beginner class is different from the advanced class where the class is more serious and rigorous. The school has students who do not compete or perform, but it is encouraged because this is how schools build their reputation. Nobody is forced to compete or perform. Conversely, if a beginner child wants to participate in a performance, she will find a way to adapt that child’s skill level into the performance in some way. Sifu Lu makes every effort to have the children feel included no matter the skill level. I have 2 children at this school. One likes to compete and the other doesn’t. But both enjoy taking classes here. One of the best things about this school is that former students who are now at college or in the workforce often return to visit and dispense advice and tips for the current students. The student camaraderie and support make this school stand out. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone interested in wushu.

Great workout and great instructor, nice group of students too. Exercises work out mind/memory as much as body, can be intense sometimes. Plan to do this for a long time

Trained Brazilian Jiu Jitsu here while on vacation. Friendly people and great instruction. Had a great workout and made some wonderful friends. I highly recommend Battleground Martial Arts.
