Street Sports Chatsworth Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
9820 Owensmouth Ave ##12, Los Angeles, California, 91311, United States
I've been a Street Sports student for many years, and recently relocated near our Chatsworth academy which is incredibly special given Professor Singer's instruction is some the best Souther California has to offer, Street and Sport. In addition to Professor Singer's instruction, respected elite BJJ practitioners often join to teach as well; many come from other disciplines as instructors to add dimensions to the art rarely found in typical academies. Without question one of the finest BJJ academies in SFV.

Sensei Ash Martial Arts And Fitness
19226 Ventura Blvd, Los Angeles, California, 91356, United States
I'm not good in writing reviews but I see as my duty to say something about Body shot studio.
As a parent, I wanted my son to do some sort of sports preferably Basketball, Soccer, Football or Tennis at least. He tried them all and at the end to our surprise he decided to do Martial Art at age 5 because he fell in love with the instructor sensei Ash. 7 years later, he is a 2nd degree black belt and still is in love with him. He had told me over and over that when he grow up wants to be just like Sensie Ash.
Sensei Ash never treated the youngster like a little kid, they get lots of tough love from him but they all adore him because he is awesome at what he does. What my son learned from Sensei was not just Karate(Hapkido), he learned to be a strong person mentally and physically yet sensitive to peoples need, great friend, organized on his school work and most important part a kind, respectful person to everybody around him regardless of their age.
As for adult classes, I've been an active person all my life, member of different gym, from yoga to tae Bo. 3 years ago, I've decided to take one of Sensei’s classes. I don’t know what to call it, it’s a mixture of Cross fit, Kickboxing, Plyometrics moves. Here I am 3 years later, in the best shape of my life physically and mentally. HONEST!
I've never been more relaxed and focused in my life. I had so much fun in his classes that decided to drag my husband (never exercised in his life) 2 years later he is a regular too. This gym is not your normal gym. His classes are not easy but I promise you, you'll have so much fun and enjoy it so much that you will not realize the hour is up. You”ll take the class at your own pace but your peers will push you. Try one class and you are hooked!
Did I mention that his karate students learn to grapple, use weapons, cross fit and boxing and yet they never do competition because that is not the art of Hapkido is about.
Seriously, try it, you'll love him and his classes, He is an amazing instructor!

I've been a student here for over a decade and I would never want to train anywhere else. Master Sampson has created an extremely welcoming environment and his teaching is always easy to follow. The lessons are enjoyable and well thought out, bringing a great foundation in martial arts, while acknowledging practical applications and variations as well.
School of Martial Arts-West LA
12113 Santa Monica Blvd ##201, Los Angeles, California, 90025, United States
I've visited many martial arts schools but this one is very special. Thanks to the instructor, Sifu Scott, the atmosphere is so inviting. This place is always alive when classes are in progress. The members are so kind and friendly to each other, respecting the awesome etiquette of the school. There isn't a person i dislike in this dojo. I feel safe there, at home and at peace. Free to learn a wonderful martial art that takes it's roots in Kung Fu, Jiu Jitsu, Aikido, Tai Chi and self defense. Sifu Scott's master, Sifu Brown, Has black belts in several martial arts and over 40 years of practice. once a year there is a 3 days retreat, one in Michigan and one here in Malibu, where all you do and mind blowing techniques in the middle of nature. A life changing experience.
The dojo has the most incredible light. Super easy to access with tons of parking.
More than a physical activity this is truly a mind and body connecting place. I've restored my inner balance there and strengthen my body as well as my character. I've become more patient, more compassionate and respectful to others. I would have never thought this practice could help me in so many aspects of my life. it happens there though. I encourage you to follow the same path and discover your true potential.
Deepest gratitude to Sifu Scott for his guidance, patience, skills and charisma.

Legend Martial Arts is an awesome place to train at for children and adults. Mr. Kim is a great teacher and makes you want to push yourself to be your best. Whether you just want to get back into shape, start a new hobby or practice Taekwondo competitively, it is a great place to go. He also teaches children to have respect and anti-bullying tips. I have been going for a few weeks now and I would recommend this place to everyone.

My boys and I are new to Pro Martial Arts, but I am honestly amazed. Mr. Chris and Mr. Calvin has so much patience and managed with positive reinforcement to get newcomers excited and involved, while not holding back the rest of the class. They are so patient and kind, while still getting the class moving an learning. The emphasis on self confidence, positive attitude has me convinced this is the place for us.
