Wineries

This was the last stop on our wine tour and I can't say enough amazing things about this winery. The staff treated us awesome, the wine maker Walter was there and took us through a journey of their wines and history. And then the wine, the wine is UNREAL (literally every single one was the best wine I've ever had). Needless to say we left with more than a few bottles :)

Napa North Wine Tours created a tour day for us that was nothing less than awesome. Nancy the owner arranged for our driver to be Tony who simply went above and beyond to make our day the most enjoyable. With my parents visiting the west coast for the first time in 30 years since I have lived here, Napa Wine Tours made me look like a vacation planning king. Thank you Nancy and Tony for making this part of their vacation AWESOME!

Je viens d’être très ému par la paire hôtesse, Christine et Roger, qui visent à investir leurs âmes dans la quête pour convertir leur vignoble en expérience partagée avec le public. Jusqu’au week-end thérapeutique que j’y ai rendu hommage, mon impression d’un établissement vinicole était limitée à la visitation brève et superficielle. Roger m’a épaté avec son ardeur pour les raisins approfondie dans le cours de ses luttes à réussir à la vendange. Christine m’a prouvé comment la grâce et la grégarité sont facettes intégrales au comportement complet pour accueillir les clients qui souhaitent dévier des routines hôtelières et recueillir quelques mémoires riches avec le passage de temps à la façon d’un bon cépage. Plutôt que terminer un séjour, j’ai en fait réservé à nouveau pour fin septembre avec but à revenir pour le vendange et les fanes à peindre le paysage d’or et de cramoisi.

La vista es increíble. Lugar perfecto para relajarse y disfrutar de la naturaleza con excelente compañía y una deliciosa copa de vino.

AMAZING wine!! I am so happy we went through Cawston and got to stop at this wonderful winery! I ended up buying one of each of their wines. I would highly recommend stopping in and checking them out!!!

A fan of old world wine culture as well as BC wines,, I have to admit I am sometimes suckered in by old traditional looking labels which is what originally caused Orofino to catch my attention as I browsed through the incredible selection at the Okanagan wine centre in Penticton. I picked up a bottle of their Pino Noir 2013. I waited until Christmas of 2016 to open it up and found it to be the best Pino I've ever tasted, and quite frankly one of the best red wines I have ever tasted. Very easy and smooth and yet such a nice and fully flavorful wine. Superb actually. Now I can't wait to go and visit their winery in 2017.

summary: excellent taste & service despite minor hiccups Visited Rustic Roots and purchases some wine and jam after tasting. Went home and found one of the jams we bought had mold in it....we think some other customers might have opened it and put it back. e-mail Rustic Roots with a picture of the jam and they were excellent with it. Quick responses, very apologetic and mailed me 2 new jars with a hand written note. Thank you!
