I've been coming here for hair and waxing for ages and ages, mostly walk-ins but a few scheduled appointments. I always recieve great service. If you're looking for a quick cut in a pretty classic style, it's the place to go. The do tend to leave it a little long though.

I just left this location after asking for a style and adjustment of a haircut gone wrong. Everyone was quick, not interested, and even when I called the stylist who answered said "hello?" I had thought I called the wrong number so I asked if it was the right place they responded with "yes." (Cue in awkward silence.) Not sure I'll ever consider this location for a hair cut.

I had the best experience with the hair dresser. Her name is Jes. She listened to what I wanted, and she really did care about my hair. My hair was colored blue, and she did a test to see if she could get it out. Come to find out, it was very hard to come out. I wanted green hair. She was honest about it going to be 2 sessions in order to get my color out, this way my hair wouldn't get damaged. In the end, I ended choosing purple hair with black roots. She was very nice, and did a great job. I plan on making her my permanent hair dresser. I would recommend her to anyone.

I've been going here for 5 years since before they moved location and I've always been more than happy with my haircut every time. Yeah they charge a bit more than some places but you see better results.

Can you give a place a 0 star review? Thank you for ruining my girlfriend's week by giving her what she considers to be the worst haircut she's ever had. After she repeatedly voiced her concerns while she got the haircut she was ignored and they did exactly what she asked them not to do. Shame on you for being terrible at your job, and terrible at listening to your customer. They must have known how badly they screwed up because thy didn't charge her, but honestly they should reimburse her for the money she has to spend to get it fixed somehow.

I waited to write this review as I allowed my anger to settle down. Please do not go here under any circumstance. I went in for golden balayage with Ana and came out with orange, green, platinum blonde, and red hair. She started with foil highlights and when that obviously was the wrong choice she attempted balayage. My hair was processed with bleach for over 2 hours. My curl pattern went from tight coils to bone straight at the ends from over processing. When I walked out of the salon and saw my hair I was devastated. I immediately went to Sally's and put a medium brown rinse over this so I could walk out in public. I looked absolutely insane. Ana also cut my hair very unevenly. I contacted management to give them an opportunity to be decent and that turned into me being blamed for having a box dye job over 6 months ago. I thought you all were supposed to be the experts? Why not offer to do this in stages? Why not perform a patch test? Why not admit it came out terrible and offer to tone it later? They offered me a complementary hair cut with the owner. As I do not doubt that Emmett is very talented and kind, I would completely stay away from Ana. If you insist on going here, book a level 3 stylist!

Moved to Seattle almost 10 years ago from the East coast with sad goodbyes to my awesome stylist (she's even been featured in major magazines). Since, I've gone to just about every stylist and salon in the area ranging from budget hipster-type places to hoitsy-toitsy $100 cuts all without success. I was accustomed to "hey, nice cut" remarks which, after my move, slowly converted to "hey ... have you tried so-an-so instead?". Came across Hair by Joey and gave it a shot. Met Annie and explained what I've been searching for (I understand it takes a while for a stylist to "learn" your head and growth habits - we're all little snowflakes, of course) to which she replied ... "let's see what we can do". Annie is absolutely amazing and I'm once again receiving "hey there dood ... nice cut" remarks. Don't look at Hair by Joey Salon as a woman's-only shop ... they are fully capable of handling the "hat-day everyday due to a bad cut" fella. Annie is approachable, always chipper without going overboard and pays close attention to what she is doing even while chatting. I'm now back to a confidence and comfort level with the stylist to say "do what you think will look good". That's a big step for me. Additional bonus: it's a super comfy place, easy to access location (car or public transit) and offers online scheduling.

Ooo-la-la I love my hair!!! My husband's went from drab to FAB! The salon in minimalist chic, super clean but oh so comfortable. Walking in you feel the soft light from the windows surrounding you as the soft yet pleasing scents soothe your mind. We were greeted like friends and escorted to very comfortable chairs. Our comfort was attended to throughout our experience. The scalp massage and interesting unobtrusive conversation, expertly yet gently guided me away from the upsetting subjects that are pulverizing us in the news. The cool and tingly substance that Kyle conditioned my hair with was delicious, only second to the luxurious scalp massage. The studio experience is as pleasurable (or better) as some of Seattle's higher end salons. Kyle Traver is the maestro of chemistry and sculpture that I will excitedly continue to visit! You won't be disappointed.

They always know my hair style and how I like it cut! Fantastic staff!

I would n o t recommend this place to anyone. I trusted a bossy young woman and she hacked my long hair off, after i repeatedly asked her not to. She did what she wanted and I left in shock with a bob haircut. I dont think I will live long enough to grow back what she took away. Im too old and thanks to her, now I look it. Beware of the scissor happy wack jobs that work there. I wont live to have long hair again in my life. All because some bossy young brat cut all my hair off. I truly hope it comes back to her in Karma. I hate to loo k at my self in the mirror, and I wont live long enough to get back what she took away from me. If you value your hair, stay away from this place. Its a chopping, grab money fraudulent operation, in my opinion. I hope someone shaves that girls head while she is sleeping.

I was nervous about going to a new salon and about cutting my hair much, much shorter but Kari did a great job and was very friendly. I will definitely go back.

Cindy is amazing. I have tried other places for my Ouidad haircuts and none are as pretty as hers. I drive one hour each way to Seattle for this and it is worth every mile!

I am hoping we can listen to Metallica or AM880 KIXI

Great salon. I booked a haircut with Tara and was not disappointed. She listened to what I wanted and gave me a fantastic cut. I highly recommend Hazel Salon. I've been back several times and every time... a great cut!

I was not happy with my hair stylist or my haircut. She did not listen to what I asked for and she talked nonstop in a loud voice. I did tell her "This looks terrible" she didn't seem to hear that ! Not worth it, I've had to have a 2nd cut by someone else. I like that there are not chemicals in the space, but that's all.

Jazmine and Shylo have been doing my hair for some time---they actually do the hair of three of my best friends as well. I have NEVER had so many compliments on my hair as with the cut and color I get from them. People have stopped me in airports and restaurants and at the grocery store--and more to the point: The doo I am sporting really feels like...ME. I like feeling at home in my hair.

got an appointment on short notice and they were able to accommodate me. just wanted a simple cut, but she did it exactly the way I like and I walked out with cute, healthy hair. :)
