NEVER book with this company. I can’t believe they are still in business. Terrible service, sketchy workers and a bad attitude. Please do yourself a favour and find something better, you will save yourself from the scam this place is.

Started the journey with this company for my mother in laws wheelchair back in May of 2018. At first the experience was good, with sales rep (Denise) assisting us and our therapist. We purchased chair in June of 2018. After care service is total different story - chair was not properly adjusted, and defective brakes broke. Tried to get chair adjusted, but no success and could not schedule a service. I would suggest taking your business elsewhere, once you purchase, the service disappears likes it staff....too frustrated to use this company anymore

Have now been using Modo for close to a year (both in Victoria and Richmond), and have been very satisfied. There are several cars in my neighbourhood so usually have not had a problem finding a vehicle, and when I required service the staff were nothing but pleasant. Would love to see cars in more distant areas (i.e. satellite cars near bus hubs, so I can bus to a location and use Modo from there) but imagine that future service upgrades may account for this. Great business model :)

I've rented vehicles from here a few times for a few different reasons, but mostly to do with moving large items. My only major issue occurred on my most recent rental, when I reserved a truck and appliance dolly online. When I arrived, there was a truck but no dolly. Beware that only the truck is reserved when booking vehicle. All other reservations are first-come first-serve. Staff made no apologies and had a "well you should have known better" attitude about it. Very frustrating.

Horrible experience. Terrible customer service, very slimy practices. Would not reccomedn this company to my worst enemy.

Best car rental place I've seen in Victoria so far. Be careful when you enter Douglas street, it is a little bit dangerous when you did not drive for a long time. I advise to turn left on Queens avenue instead (less busy) and then Government street (with stoplight).

I got the new cargo van yay. it only has 2000km on it, and it is very easy to handle. it drives like a bigger suv. And Tina is a nice lady

This was the worst experience I've ever had with a company.. I ended up paying a total of $325 for a one day rental after my U-haul van was towed on Thanksgiving day for a marathon.. the insurance covered nothing. They promised me I could pay a $30 traffic ticket myself, so I went online to pay it and it wasn't there. Then two months later I was more than double charged for the ticket on my credit card for $75.. when I called customer service it was almost like they were trying to avoid my issue and keep the money they took from me by deferring me to other phone numbers until I gave up.. I called 6 or 7 times over the span of more than 2 weeks and was put on hold for up to 10 minutes almost every time.. they promised me emails, and return phone calls I didn't receive.. lines were dropped.. they even gave me a loss collection phone # that was really a phone number for a drug store.. nothing was ever resolved.. this company really doesn't deserve anyone's business.. I will never rent with U-haul again

1st time renting a car and had a great and smooth/easy experience with the guys here. I booked a Hyundai Elantra or similar for 3 days and instead got a free upgrade to a Buick 2019 AWD SUV. Great car to drive in Canada weather. Returned it and they refunded me difference because I overfilled the tank (started on 1/4) and were happy to give us a lift back into town! For 3 days was about 95 bucks, even with damage waiver. Would recommend. Thanks guys.

The best car rental experience that we have had in a long time. The car that we got was very nice and reliable and the staff were very friendly and professional. I'm going to try to rent through Avis whenever I can thanks to this experience.

Nice place! I have bought an used car from there which is really worth. The sales in there are nice and told lots of suggestions for me. It's an amazing experience.

This is the Worst car rental ever. PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM NATIONAL CAR unless you want to get ripped off. I had a really bad experience with national car rental they charged me 341$ without my knowledge they said the car had small windshield chip while in my possession( which is a lie ) I drove the car for a total of 20 min ( grocery store and home) while my car was being serviced at Mercedes dealership ( I could have just walked home actually).I would have understood if I had driven the car for 2 or 3 days out of town in the rain but I know It’s just bad business practice and I did not expect it from a “reputable” company. they said they did a “research”( another lie). they should have at least explained to me and show me all of the paperwork and let me know how they determined the amount I have to pay. they were more concerned with taking my money as soon as possible. I should have known when I got there the car had so many scratches and I only focused on scratches I am not car inspection expert things that are small or light are very hard to find. I dont even think they deserve one star
