Flooring

These guys are great! Best qualities: creative, efficient & honest! They completed a full kitchen demo and redesign in about two weeks. We got to see cool plan sketches for the design and they offered several great ideas and options for us to fit our budget. We threw some curve balls at them which they handled like pros; taking care of everything we requested and more! For example, we didn't plan for new flooring but during demo, my husband and I decided it would be wise to have it done while the rest of the work was going on (we also ended up having them replace both bathroom floors while we were at it). Clay added this to our invoice and they had it done before we knew it; also replacing our old sub-flooring and bad areas of drywall. We threw a lock-box on the front door and let them come and go as they needed. They helped us resolve several budget issues with creativity and even returned a small check to us a week after completion stating we had overpaid by a small amount. Clay, who works the show room, really knows what he's talking about- he is also very patient. Sunny & the other designers were so sweet and helpful as well and I loved that someone from the office came by almost every day to check on progress and quality. I trust these people whole heatedly and will use them for more projects in the future.

I purchased Vinyl flooring through Lowes and Mark Vaccaro Flooring LLC was sub-contracted to install it. During my second conversation with this guy, all he did was spend 45 minutes complaining about Lowes and the flooring job. He was upset he had to remove and reinstall baseboards, he was upset Lowes didn't correctly inform him it would be 3 separate areas in a residence, he was upset there was a washer dryer, etc etc... I was already not feeling good about this guy, but just wanted my flooring installed. We scheduled a day and I informed him I would arrange for a plumber to remove the toilettes first thing in the morning to have them out of the way. This was just a few days from the scheduled day for him to install the flooring. In-between confirming an appointment with Mark Vaccaro and the time of the actual appointment, my cell phone stopped working. When Mark Vaccaro was unable to contact me the day before installation to reconfirm things, he arbitrarily decided to reschedule my appointment to 5 days later. He did so without contacting Lowes who had an alternate phone number for my wife’s cell phone. When the plumber showed up on the scheduled day for installation, Mark Vaccaro had not arrived yet. I called him on my wife's phone that is when he informed me he had rescheduled me to next Wednesday. I explained to him I had the plumber there already pulling up the toilettes and was frustrated that Mark Vaccaro was not arriving as previously agreed, but Mark Vaccaro claimed it was my fault because he was unable to "re-confirm" my appointment, so he rescheduled it. He offered to call the person who sub-contracted him to see if they could get someone else because Mark Vaccaro said he was already on the way to another appointment. I never received a call, so I called Lowes. After a heated conversation and I stated I did not want to deal with Mark Vaccaro after he arbitrarily rescheduled on me, I was informed that Mark Vaccaro claimed I had threatened him and he had already said he was no longer comfortable doing my job as a result. Don't do business with this guy. Obviously, Mark Vaccaro falsely claiming I threatened him is no minor thing. Obviously Mark Vaccaro did this because he knew he wronged me and making such a claim was an easy way out instead of resolving his mistake. Now I have to worry about potential repercussions of someone making a false claim I threatened them. Thankfully, the owner of the plumbing company was present during the entire conversation with the contractor and can confirm I never threatened Mark Vaccaro. Again, don't do business with someone as distasteful as this Mark Vaccaro. You never know what someone like this might do to you….

Find another carpet place!! We used Advantage carpet in April of 2015 when we bought our house. We replaced all the carpet upstairs and the carpet in our downstairs living room, every place there was carpet, we replaced it. The installation was done by a guy who spoke zero English, which fine, whatever. He did the job alone and despite 2 places where glue was left and still remains to this day, all seemed fine. Which explains why it took me over 2 1/2 years to complain. Fast forward to about a year ago (I'm writing this in January 2018) to January 2017, the carpet in our living room got very loose and a huge ripple formed in the middle of be room across the entire thing. We thought it was just a coincidence and were planning to just live with it. Until the carpet in our bedroom and hallway started doing the same thing this past summer. The carpet is baggy and horribly rippled. It's very noticeable and very annoying. My husband has called them 3 different times in the last 6 months and each time they say they will have someone call back. Nobody calls. So my husband called again and they said they would have an installer call back. Never happened. I'm incredibly disappointed. Carpet isn't cheap. Our job wasn't cheap. We didn't yank on the carpet causing it to become baggy and rippled all over the place so this was clearly an installation mistake. I've never seen carpet do something like this. It's awful and ugly. I assume they just don't care, as we have called and explained the situation and have been repeatedly ignored. You might want to shop elsewhere!
